Non- gunty jeans

Please help a gal out here.

I have recently put on a lot of weight, it’s medication and I’m working on sensible ways of losing it but in the meantime EVERY SINGLE pair of trousers I have is gunty. I have one skirt and one pair of black trousers which don’t make me look like shit but everything looks horrendous. I’d love some advice on styles that won’t make me look terrible but also go with “my vibe”. Said vibe is lots of sage, burgundy and brown, comfy vibes but still okay for the odd meeting. I love the look of tucking my many shirts into my trousers (long live the French tuck) but am avoiding it like the plague atm - if I do tuck; gunt. If I don’t tuck; massive. Please help!

Sounds obvious but buy bigger sizes. I am three stone overweight 5.6 13 stone and am wearing a size 16 bottoms abd size 18 pants. I have been a 8-12 literally most of my life.

Pleated trousers I think are your friend in dark colours. I have been wearing some nice dark navy linen ones. River Island do a very popular pair. Size up more than you think.

Belted dresses if that is your thing

I personally think tops that cut across the thighs are the least flattering things ever, but they can be marginally more flattering with a curved hem:

My DD goes to a shop in Melbourne where they'll tailor your jeans to your shape. The advice given about any tum which needed a stern approach was button fly, which pulls everything in.
Levi's are excellent for this.
