Shiny new thread just in time for the new season - I'm thinking smoky, spicy gourmands as we head through autumn.

Old thread here

It’s 21 degrees and sunny, so I’m sporting Liberty Maze today, but definitely looking forward to digging out my cooler weather scents

MiaN · 01/09/2026 14:37

Thanks for the new thread @IDontHateRainbows

I see look fantastic fragrance is out, but I am not interested at all this year.

IDontHateRainbows · 01/09/2026 15:47

This year I've already ordered harrods and LF and JL frag cals.
Plus liberty, liberty men's and fenwick which had a fair few perfumes in.

Interested in snk frag cal hn frag cal and the perfume shop calendar as we move into the season.

In terms of single house sets, if pdm do another countdown calendar id be interested.

A few SOTDs today as been away without access to my huge collection. Currently OJ levante.

Thanks for the new thread @IDontHateRainbows

I wore Merit Retrospect today for the first time in a while. It's in the Sephora BAC which I'm toying with getting. I do like this one so wouldn't mind another travel size.

IDontHateRainbows · 01/09/2026 18:56

Opened the balmain Destin which came with the fenwick AC to have a tiny dab and loads came out, but it is nice so I'm glad to keep it. Fragrantica says it's woody, musky, fruity and sweet. Seems to cover a lot of bases! Anyway it's a tiny dabber but made it's way on to my dabbing shelf just above my desk.

Thanks for the new thread.

SOTD was Goldfield & Banks Sunset Hour. Lovely scent, but wish the longevity was better.

tretaddict · 01/09/2026 19:11

Glossier you today. I was at the dentist so didn’t want anything heavy

I bought this from someone on vinted, I love the little bottle 🥰

MiaN · 02/09/2026 09:33

I am working from home and spilled some of my rituals home fragrance. I am not sure there is point to put perfume on - the room smells lovely and its enough for now

MiaN · 02/09/2026 09:55

Trying the other Killian Paraiso. I have two pink colada vibe scents - Miami Nectar Ellis Brooklyn and St Barts Ouai - both fresher and very summary scents. This is moodier, boozier and less cheerful scent - as you woud expect from Killian. I regret not buying the 3rd, this is great

I'd like to try the new Killian perfumes. They sound nice.

MiaN · 02/09/2026 12:02

I should have added - I really like that it isn't similar to what I already have and that it feels right for this time of the year! It's moodier in a good way.

OvaHere · 02/09/2026 13:08

Trying out PDM Athenais 5ml from the SNK gwp today. I'd previously dismissed this as not that interesting when sniffing in store but now I've worn it a while I do quite like it.

Would be happy if they put this in next year's Harrods FAC.

MiaN · 02/09/2026 14:14

that PDM smells familiar and somewhat simple but I too enjoy it.

ah come on, we want a good fragrance set or advent calendar available to buy! It's been long

potplantsinparadise · 02/09/2026 14:49

Just tried Chloe 'Cedrus Intense' - gorgeous, a proper light woody-green scent with a touch of elegant soapy cleanness; very 'lobby at the fanciest hotel in town' (I mean this in a good way!). Would definitely be a spritzer if I got a big bottle.

MiaN · 02/09/2026 15:28

oh this sounds good!

MiaN · 02/09/2026 18:43

Next brand I will be sampling - carner barcelona! I got back into sample sets with the DAnnam - I think I have second perfume I am tempted by - Matcha Soft Serve. Keep sniffing it from the shirt I was wearing yesterday and it is so nice after the intial matcha blast.

IDontHateRainbows · 03/09/2026 08:27

enjoying balmain destin again - hard to describe but it's a little sweet a little woody and a little fruity
Not tried balmain before they have not really promoted themselves as a house -think they are in a few ACs this year so maybe they realised that's the way forward.

Checking in for the new thread - thanks @IDontHateRainbows! I've started the seasonal shuffle, I'm not quite ready for the warm woods and vanillas I usually reach for in Autumn, so I've made a little selection tray of my soapiest clean laundry scents in the meantime. August was a low-buy month so nothing new came in, and the collection is looking smaller having used up quite a few over the summer.

SOTD today is Soap by Perfumer H, smells like clean skin but I think it's barely noticeable to anyone else!

JoRaRaRa · 03/09/2026 12:09

I've decided that I'm going to revisit the Harrods 2025 fragrance calendar before I start my weekly openings of the Harrods 2026 calendar. I'll be revisiting each one over the next few weeks every couple of days.

So today is day 1, floraiku sand and skin. A gorgeous one for the summer autumn transition 🩷

fragrancefriend · 03/09/2026 12:17

I’m alternating between Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt & Chloe Nomade at the moment as it’s still quiet warm out. I can’t wait for the cooler weather so I can wear my Le Labo Thè Noir 29. 🍁

SocksAndTheCity · 03/09/2026 12:20

Joining in for a bit of pre Advent perfume chat and maybe some new ideas!

Today I am wearing Ormonde Jayne Verano, so I smell like a Cuban cigar Smile

TragicMuse · 03/09/2026 12:48

It’s a bit gloomy here so I went for Thameen Cullinan Diamond. This made my heart skip when I first smelt it and I just love it.

It’s quite deep and heavy, not a light summery scent at all. To me it’s similar end of the spectrum as MP Vanilla Powder, I think.

paristotokyo · 03/09/2026 12:55

Looking forward to reading about all your autumn scents and living vicariously through your warm
and cosy choices. I’m in a place where it’s perpetually summer and I really miss autumn as it’s my favourite season. I’m going to choose by the fireplace tonight for some nostalgia.

QueefofSheena · 03/09/2026 13:06

SOTD is Ormonde Jayne Levant. Its warm and muggy here today so summery is fine.

My Harrods FAC is out for delivery so I'll have a play when it gets here. Its for my birthday which was a couple of weeks ago so I am going to dive straight in. I know from Fragrantica that a few won't suit me so I won't be opening them as I'm planning to list after my holiday. I'm planning on trying some different Korres scents and other greek pharmacy bits while I'm away so I may need another bag on the way back 😄
