Getting remarried. Going to be a very small (just us and teen kids) registry office wedding.

I bought this months ago but have lost a little weight since and I don't think its fits right and just don't think I want to wear it now.

I think its because it's white/Ivory.

I'm in my early 40s. 9st. 5ft5.

I just think maybe its a bit too boring/traditional. Maybe just too wedding-y.

I don't know. I'm just not feeling it at all now but have no idea what I might like?!

Have a look on Vinted/eBay/Vestiaire. They also have an archive section on their website (which you need to sign into via email). Go try some on at a stockist first, as some styles apparently run small - you might be a 12.

This dress will be much, much nicer than the American Heiress dress as it's viscose and silk. The American Heiress dress is 95% polyester, 5% spandex. I'm not in the "eugh polyester" camp. There's good quality polyester and polyester works well with some styles e. g jacquard but I don't think it works for velvet which looks much better if it's viscose, silk or cotton based. The American Heiress dress also needs to be returned to the US or China so Rixo would be a better bet.

Rixo comes up small. If you really can't stretch to Rixo new definitely try a Rixo dress in store or order one to return before buying second hand.

You said you can't justify more than around £140 as you'd only be wearing it once-why would you only wear it once? If you go for a non white /non bridal dress you can wear that to anything or anywhere you can wear a pretty dress.

All dresses will look amazing with the Autumnal flowers.

I think you looked best in the pink dress but lovely in both.
What colour suit will your DH wear? Any dark Autumnal suit would suit the pink dress. The green dress might clash with a black, green or brown suit.

Dress your teens in Autumnal colours too. It will be a gorgeous look for a group famlly photo.

@MarieBeau I got married in my 40s. I tried a couple of traditional wedding dresses and felt like I wasn't me. Almost like imposter syndrome, it was weird.
So I chose a sparkly lovely long dress (NOT white or cream) and I felt fab.
My point is... do you. It really is your day.

The pink one is from a potentially dodgy site, with poor reviews, based in the US. The returns information is full of red flags.
