Ooh I do like the look of the Elle one.

I like the Elle one but I think Harrods and Cult Beauty (so far) just pip it for me.

Just checked out all the Boots a/cs -none are for me. I don’t think the skincare one is as good as last year’s.

Looks as if I will be saving my points!

Re: Advantage Point boosting - don’t forget to use the recycling scheme in return for points. (But only if you are going to be buying stuff from Boots anyway!)

Didn’t SNK have a full sized Tatcha serum too or am I imagining that?
It is really disappointing this year. I can’t believe one of the most expensive items they have included is a bloody body cream! 🥺

Really like the look of Elle as it has some good skincare. I would have gone for it if it had been a similar price to last year.

It has a body cream and the sdj body butter 🤦🏻‍♀️ They must think we all have rough, dry skin 🤣

I got excited with the first Elle spoilers as I was expecting it to stay a similar price.

@pinkchampagne1 I agree - the Elle price is just too close to the high end BACs (admittedly an extra £80 is still a lot of money) and is making me reconsider.

Also, as I use tretinoin, the big ticket item in Elle - the Murad retinol - conflicts with that routine. I suppose I could use it on neck/hands.

Does the Elle price tend to fluctuate - Black Friday etc?

My interest in LF has just gone down 🤣

It always grabs you in with the first few spoilers, then disappoints😂

I think Elle is really good . To be honest I think they can justify the price increase . Last year there was some good products but there was also lots of tiny sample products in there as well which put me off . This year it looks like they have significantly increased the number of full sizes . It is on my potential list along with Harrods and possibly Cult Beauty if they ever reveal their full list and potentially Glossy Box
Still hanging on for the SpaceNk reveal but the Augustinus Bader body cream is just so annoying. They have gone bath and body crazy this year
However I do think Advents generally look better during their unboxings and if they have a few double/triple doors it might win me over still

I'm really looking forward to all the unboxing videos. Even calendars I have no interest in look good once they are unboxed. I found myself being swayed towards Avant yesterday after watching Miss Boux's video and I know I definitely don't want it. I'm so easily influenced 🙈

QQ to all enthusiasts: what where your favourite items from 2025 calendars? Anything worth hunting down on Vinted? 😊
My favourite item has to be Rodial blush drops 😍

I just put the lists in there and make sure i mention the retailmarkt such as Harrods Advent: and Ill copy paste the whats inside list.

Ive put my needs, type of skin etc in the AI so it remembers. Ive also put some of the stuff I react badly too in there with the results. Itll see a patern in the ingredients after a while.

I also put perfume preferences and absolute hates.

Turns out Im good mostly great with a lot of Boots type of stuff, Lancome, Clarins, Clinique etc but cannot tolerate much Paula's Choice and high end serums because most contain retinoids amd harsh ingredients.

I find it rather eye opening and its good to contain my FOMO

Oh yes, forgot about the SDJ cream! Body cream is nice enough but not something I can get too excited about. I certainly don’t want it to be the main attraction in my expensive advent calendar! 🥺

Is any one else a little fed up of seeing sdj in AC and edits? I feel it’s been over done, and since seeing it in home bargains it’s lost it’s “luxury” edge for me personally.

I already use AI to categorise my stash to make sure I'm working though it. It also knows my perfume preferences so it didn't take a lot to get it reviewing the calendars in line with what I like want and need. I've just been pasting in the spoilers from BD and then asking it to ask me any questions about ones it's not sure of. I corrected the first few but now it's giving a pretty good rundown for me.
I got it to make me this visual to share my position so far. I know it's crap but it kept me very well entertained 🤣

Yes I never get excited about SDJ in edits and calendars - it has been so overdone and I think it is over hyped.

Definitely. It’s boring (to me) now. It’s also beloved by my daughter and her friends (early 30’s) so I keep giving it away to happier homes 😊

My favourites from last year include the Westman Atelier blush stick (which I think @JoRaRaRa helped me get to grips with after I tried putting it on straight from the stick and looked like I had a fever 😂), the SdJ Delicia Drench shower oil which I loved and RPd as soon as it ran out, the Glossier lip balm and the Then I Met You cleansing balm (which still isn't finished). I liked the Debaser perfume too, although it isn't something I would buy - these are all Space NK.

My all time favourite BAC discovery is the Sunday Riley CEO Glow oil which I always wind up going back to and I loved the AB face oil, but I've never bought it only because it's so bloody expensive 😖

SdJ keep on bringing out new scents and I don’t really know what each one is any more.

I like the pink one, but now I think there are two or three pink ones and I couldn’t be sure without checking what the number of the one I like is!!

I admit I like SDJ and the body washes and lotions are always welcome but I have lots of the sprays atm, plus some Lidl and Aldi dupes, (pretty good, btw), and don’t need anymore of their fragrances!

I really like the sound of Debaser in Bloom. I hope its in the SNK FAC too
