I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up. This is not working out so well. 😂

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.
It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

I've contacted Harrods and on their side it doesn't look like I was logged in and my confirmation went to my old email address. He was going to try to sort it but he said it wasn't easy to do, so I told him to leave it as I didn't want it to be accidentally cancelled. Annoying though that I can't get reward points on it though.

@Beautyfox @LightandBreezy I love the idea of the Harrods beauty and Jo Malone but they are both rather expensive and the H has things I already have and use, in my stash. (Like @OvaHere )

So that just feels like refilling the sweetie jar, not trying a new lolly. Giving myself a lipstick for Christmas feels like petrol station chrysanthemum too. Although I will probably use the funds to buy a 111Skin repair serum instead because I had it in an edit last year and it’s miraculous for my skin (super spendy though).

Jo Malone is gorgeous in theory, however, I know I would probably get quickly bored with smelling like someone who cooks on an Aga, but dreams of Glasto 😊 Not a candle fan either.

I have bought the JL and will hopefully get the JL fragrance too. I’m keen to see the Boots fragrance and the Elle AC too, that looks fun. I wouldn’t turn down Elemis either. It’s such good value.

Really ought to start saving though as I am going to the Giraffe hotel next year. 🦒🦒🦒 ♥️

My plan is to buy 2 calendars, one to open in December and then with the other one I’ll open a door on the 1st and 15th of each month in 2027 so I’ll have little treats throughout the year, we’ll see how that goes! 😂

I am so hoping SNK has the new Medik8 in it . And selfishly because I’m still in a grump with my cancelled cult beauty order ( I know I know let it go ) I’m hoping that is not a star 😂 Sephora might be good . I’m going to hold fast . I may miss the Harrods but I’m am just getting one !!! Really I am just one ( edits don’t count right?) I do like the cheaply ones though . The Ok beauty one seems good value for the basics . I mean 20 pound off for pre order and another 11 off and it’s 99 pounds to start off with , with 360 value ( which I know is not exact) but still 🤷🏻‍♀️ but good if you want to get into the vibe but on a budget . Ho hum just got to wait and not wish the summer away 🥴

I love this idea! Wonderful the calendar that keeps on giving and much more in moderation that my DD idea of getting 12 so I have enough to last the year!

How do you get the extra £11 off. I must admit I’m quite tempted by this one just because of the price point.

If you go on the waiting list I think . It says 20 off if you preorder and 11 for going on waitlist early . A 10 pound voucher code came through as well but I don’t know if I can use that against the advent . I don’t buy much from ok so I’m not sure I’d use it against anything .

I’ve gone for the Harrods BAC for the skincare. I’m not a huge makeup wearer, but will try some and gift others. I’d like to see the SNK contents and the Jo Malone (although no Aga here and more of a Download than a Glasto girl) Oh, and also Selfridges reveal 😊

This is my first proper year of ACs so i'm determined to keep to 1 or 2 .. looking like SNK or JL and maybe a Lumene again as i got that last year and it was lovely

Just watched all of RR’s unboxing of the Harrods calendar. I am exited for most of the skin care, love the Bioeffect and am half way through my last bottle, wanted to try the AB eye cream but was always priced high on Vinted and excited to try the Lyma cream. I think both lipsticks will be good as everyday shades, I am using U.K. Lash serum atm and think it has improved my lashes so happy with that, always happy to have another eyeshadow stick as they are great for travelling with but will be passing on the hairspray, shampoo & conditioner and eyelash curlers for sure. All in all I think I made the right choice in choosing it for my birthday gift from DH. Haven’t seen the others yet though so hoping I am not persuaded into getting another!

I used to go too, when it was Monsters of Rock . I love looking at all the ACs 😻

I think it sounds like a great all rounder with some stand out products. It hasn't knocked Harrods off top spot for me though.

Thought it was just me, but those brands make my spicy senses itch. Ive quite enjoyed my TOYL subscription up to now, but I can feel those brands starting to creep in and I’ll be sad if I need to cancel. There was an Abel product this month. :-(

This is a pass for me: two hand creams and a wash bag😫 Other than that, sounds a nice mix.

Sounds nice but F&M is always a bit niche to the point I've not heard of most of the products.

Probably not for me but I'd be chuffed if someone bought me it unexpectedly.

Fortnum & Mason is my top contender as it's the only BAC where I want everything in it & I don't need another wsshbag bag & hate socks!
Yet Charlotte's Posner designs are so whimsically pretty & merino cashmere is so soft.
I've also never had F&M before
I think I may have to stop myself preordering until I see SNK & Vogue

Thoughing knowing you lot you'll try & convince me to have a Novvent & a Janvent 😂

It’s a pass for me too. I’m looking forward to seeing the SNK calendar and if that doesn’t inspire me I won’t be having one this year.

I want to see Selfridges now. I think that might appear tomorrow.

Selfridges looks to have some good brands in this year. I haven’t been interested in it the last couple of years as it was very hair care and make up heavy but lacking a bit in skin care, which is the bit that I am most interested in. I think last year they also had false eyelashes which made up a lot of the value. My sister had it in 2023 though and loved it.
I also desperately want to see what is in SNK this year.

We're almost on page 30 so I'm going to put out the call now for someone to volunteer to be Thread 3 starter.

I'm going back to work tomorrow and it will only take one or two interesting BAC reveals for the thread to fill up quickly.

I guess to avoid confusion we all agree that the first person to post their offer on this thread takes it on.
