What bra works with dresses like this big-ish boobs?

What bra would work with this style of dress? I’ve seen a few dresses with similar necklines and I think they’d be great for this hot weather. But totally stumped re. the bra situation. I’m a 32E so braless is not an option and strapless is never that practical. Don’t mind a thin strap showing but not the cup or band.

I think any bra will show a bit, even those that fasten around your waist and you will be forever having to faff with it. If you are on holiday I would pop a bikini top under it.

Lambsydaisy · 28/07/2026 21:41

I'd wear a multi way bra and either cross the straps at the back or wear as a halter neck.

MyDarlingRose · 28/07/2026 22:08

I got basically that exact dress from H&M two years ago for £12. Why tf is it £99?

Anyway I call it my moomoo because it’s a shapeless mass for wearing over nothing or bikinis. With the straps short enough though it will cover the band. It’s not that low backed.

Yeah not sure why it’s so expensive! I like it, but the one that I’ve got is very similar and also from H&M. 😂

I've also got the H&M one, but it's been demoted to a nightdress/housedress because there isn't a bra that it works with.

Cowboysnangels · 29/07/2026 00:41

I would buy a bra with pretty coloured straps and just show them. Or I'd wear a wee t shirt under it 90s style.

JuRoo · 29/07/2026 05:00

It will change the look of the dress but a black halterneck bra would look good. Add some nice necklaces to distract the eye.

Ann Summers and many others sell the stick on bra. My dd wears these bras alot. Really like the dress, very nice

Girlintheframe · 29/07/2026 07:20

I think really only strapless work with that style of dress.

JacknDiane · 29/07/2026 07:21

Stick on bras dont work with older big boobs.

Gettingbysomehow · 29/07/2026 07:21

Id wear a gorgous colourful halter neck bikini or bra underneath that looks like its meant to be seen. Avoid anything sad dyed grey with repeated washing.

BendyDickCumbInMySnatch · 29/07/2026 07:29

I like the bikini top suggestion and wish I'd thought of it 20 years ago 😂

Thanks! Unfortunately I’m breastfeeding so the stick on bra isn’t going to cut it!

I guess this is where I’m headed! 😂
I was hoping there was some king of half/low cup bra with thin and pretty straps that I’d overlooked!

I wear this with clear plastic straps I bought separately ( Amazon) for similar dresses. I have a DD cup and the support is excellent

Stick on bras and 32E boobs?! 😂

Good luck!

I borrowed a set from my daughter once, just to see if l could cope with them. We are both a 34 dd. I hate them, as my dd does. We are both very conscious about them, people assume we have had implants because we are tall and skinny...Anyway l digress, l wore then in the house, not risking anywhere else, l found them to be great, but understand the OP, she tells me she is breastfeeding, so not at all suitable.

A 34DD is still a lot less 'balcony' than a 32E.

A smaller number and a bigger letter means a lot more overhang. The overhang not the letter alone is the problem.

A 32E is a lot more to flop than a 34DD.

Yes ofcourse, l agree. Was just trying to say that they are ok to use. You can pull them up so they give a bit of uplift, but you do need a shower afterwards as they do leave a sticky residue.

I saw a few backless dresses with sad, greyed bras being worn at a music festival recently and can confirm that it really isn't a goid look.

Twilightstarbright · 29/07/2026 10:53

I wear strapless bras most days in summer. I like the wonderbra strapless one. I’m a 32D in my 40s having breastfed so very far away from perky! I’ve also used stick on bras that effectively fold my boob up.

NewHere83 · 29/07/2026 11:04

I'd have thought just a normal bra in black would look fine
