New thread. Welcome oldies and newbies.

I'm expecting this thread to be busy as we head towards both advents and autumn releases.

There's a dedicated advent thread for advent calendars here to keep up to date with reveals, waitlists etc.

Pretty sure you can return anything bought online under the distance selling regulations? (If in saleable condition) Liberty don't allow any beauty products purchased in store to be returned but I've returned a few online orders to them and it's been fine

Grown Alchemist: Free Regenerating Night Routine Kit(worth £90) when you spend £80+

Kit contains:
Gentle Gel Facial Cleanser (50ml)
Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser (100ml)
Regenerating Gel Mask (20ml)
Regenerating Moisturizer (12ml)
Skin Renewal Facial Oil (25ml)

Add the kit to your cart and then apply the code FREEREGEN at checkout. You will then see your kit for free in your cart.

I’ve bought this kit before and liked the two full sized products (cream cleanser and oil) enough to repurchase both. (Think the cream cleanser might be a Caroline Hirons fave? But I could be wrong there!)

Went in store at m and s yesterday and they had some reduced bits on the shelves - more Liquid Gold, some Stila, a couple of their perfumes and I did pick up the reduced Arkiv set for £18 (I like the hair oil which is £15 so #beautymaths says a shampoo and conditioner for £3 is bargianous!)

That's going to be pricey I think. The similar Ex Nihilo set is about £300

It’s showing as available on Selfridges for £195 - decisions decisions as I only want the Vanilla Powder and Radical Rose

That's a lot cheaper than I was expecting. Not cheap still obviously...😂

Off to have a nosy.

@MrsBnow12 I'd only want those two also. Give it a while and those 6ml sizes might start appearing in edits or advents - probably next year rather than this year. We've had a lot of the ExN extraits recently.

Very tempted. I reckon I can sell the ones I don't like (falcon, encens sauve) - I love the others, especially rad rose. Fk it I won some money last month on the premium bonds - this must be what it is for!

What am I missing with the Selfridges Matiere Premiere set..? You could buy 6 x 6ml of your choosing for £228 (cheaper assuming discount codes) so it's not much of a saving to get the set? I certainly wouldn't buy it to sell parts on, I doubt it would be worth it.

user593 · Yesterday 11:28

20% off SNK ends tonight and they have some nice samples in, although I’ve placed a couple of orders recently and the samples have been more random than ever!

Those are the EDP though - the extraits aren't available to buy separately.

Thanks for the reminder. I’ve just ordered another bottle of deodorant and they gave me 2 free gifts (both sample sachets) as well as the 2 samples. However, with their current track record of not sending samples let’s see what arrives.

I unexpectedly got a Diptyque sample on one of my orders so it’s not all bad, just very random!

I sold my lancome eye cream to someone who's now claiming that the parcel arrived empty and torn. I can see on evri tracking though that the parcel was fine and intact when it arrived. This is the kinda thing that puts me off selling things on vinted. I was thinking about doing a Frankenstein calendar again, but I don't think I'll bother. I've had a few issues with vinted but mostly they've been parcels going missing so evri have sorted them, but none like this as the seller. Anyone knows what happens now? Will vinted still pay me for it?

The buyer will have to raise an issue with Vinted who will then take it up with Evri and look at the evidence. If there's a photo of it being handed to the person or on the doorstep intact the chances are they'll say case closed and you'll get paid. This is regardless of what the actual truth is regarding the package. Might take ages to resolve though as Vinted are a law unto themselves. Good luck!

Peachbubble · Yesterday 14:47

@JoRaRaRa That's terrible! Can you send the buyer the delivery photo to prove the parcel was intact and not torn? May make them change their mind about making false claims? x

Beautyfox · Yesterday 14:54

This happened to me but the other way round. I ordered some stuff from Debenhams and the parcel arrived with the delivery photograph showing what looked like an intact package but the underneath had a rip and the shower gel was missing. Tbf to Debenhams they did send another one after a couple of days ‘investigating’. I had taken a photograph of the package before opening it to show the rip underneath.

JoRaRaRa · Yesterday 14:55

Vinted have already made the decision and issued a refund to them. They've put it through as a order cancellation not as an issue. I'm fuming! I've had to raise it as an issue and they're now saying it'll take 48 hours to review.

Cyclingmummy1 · Yesterday 15:12

Don't you both get your money @JoRaRaRa ? I know you do if the parcel is lost.

That's awful. This is what I mean when I said they are a law unto themselves. You can never tell how something will go. It's a useful platform until something goes wrong. Hope you get it resolved.

Vinted are crap, ebay a lot better and will refund both buyer and seller if it shows delivered. I've all but given up with vinted these days, as a seller especially.

Normally they do, but she's put it through as a cancellation. I'm not sure why she's done it that way. If she'd put it through as an issue, yes it would've taken longer, but we would've both been paid out.

That doesn't seem right. I didn't think the buyer could cancel once it had been dispatched.

Ebay keep logging me out of my account and then saying there's no problem with it. Very annoying 😡 The shipping time is only 2 days too, which isn't great if the person selects royal mail, I can't always get to the post office due to work. Vinted gives you longer so I can go to the post office on a Saturday morning, although I have taken royal mail off it now anyway.
