The end of summer lies ahead, but we're hoping for more bling!

Princess Eugenie has called her baby Adelaide.

ElegantlyDressing · 17/08/2026 16:47

Oh that's a pretty name. I have managed to drop off the thread almost completely but am lurking from time to time.

Eaumyword · 17/08/2026 17:41

Adelaide is a pretty name, I like it.

We are going to the F1 in Zandvoort this weekend. Wax is presenting the winners trophy (they usually go privately) So I'm hoping for Max in a fabulous orange outfit. Bonus if the girls are there too

Maireas · 19/08/2026 16:26

Excellent, @gingercat02- it's all a bit sparse on the style front at the moment!

Quite a lot going on with the hat. I like the feather.

Camilla has been demonstrating that fine jewellery is for everyday wear, if that counts.

For her interview with the CE of Maggie's (the most relatable a royal has ever been, I think) she adorned the lapel of her cream shirt with one of her bee brooches - it made me think that's a look I could copy (albeit with cheaper jewellery!). Being Camilla she was also wearing a pinwheel pendant, earrings, bracelet and rings...

Queen Camilla

In a video to mark the 30th anniversary of Maggie's cancer charity, Queen Camilla speaks about her husband's own diagnosis.

Sophie looked great in a snippet of a podcast I saw, very tanned, very natural looking and a fab blouse or dress.

Yes! Camilla isn't quite old Queen Mary, but she does love her sparklers! I noticed the bee brooch, I thought it was lovely.
I noticed at one event she had four bracelets on!

I like her hair like that. The blouse or dress looks like broderie anglaise or guipure.

Very little happening on the royal style front. Here is the duke and duchess of Edinburgh with lady Louise and her boyfriend felix at the theatre in Edinburgh. Not keen on Louise’s skirt, it’s an odd length. Not keen on Sophie’s skirt. It’s that denim one she wore previously with the weird waist panel.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh Visit the Royal Lyceum Theatre

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, their daughter Lady Louise Windsor, and Louise’s boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, visited the Royal Lyceum Theatre

Is Sophie trying to do jazz hands?!

I like the jeans, shoes and shirt but although the jacket is a nice colour, it jars a little with the rest of the outfit.

That's an odd ensemble on Louise fullstop. She's only 21 or 22 isn't she? That outfit looks like something the late Queen would've worn for a bracing walk at Balmoral!

Maireas · 19/08/2026 19:38

Rajwa is an interesting dresser - the outfit actually looks better on her than perhaps you'd think. It combines the Jordanian culture of dressing with a bit of edginess.

Sophie's denim skirt and top are quite nice - just not together! I think a flared skirt needs a more fitted top and flared top needs more form fitting trousers to balance the outfit.

I'm not being unkind when I say that I don't think Louise takes much interest in clothing. She may well be wearing her Mum's hand me downs for some time. Touch of the Auntie Annes.

Anne was fairly fashionable at that age though! I agree that Louise seems completely uninterested in clothes, and that's fine, but this is an S&B thread after all!

True. Also true.

I agree about Lady Louise and clothes too, perhaps she just isn’t interested and she isn’t a working Royal so not obliged to dress for public duty as Anne was at that age. And while I suspect Anne favours practicality over style, she has got poise, the way she holds her head, which lifts all her outfits and she does tend to wear very well fitting clothes.

Chesticles · 19/08/2026 23:52

I know it’s style and clothes (and my favorite, jewellery) but I must admit I was surprised by duke and Duchess of Sussex moving back to uk. I have no real opinion of them - like everything I’m sure the truth is somewhere in the middle, but hopefully more meghan fashion for us to admire/critique

Yeah, and as Deftly says, back in the 70s Anne was on point with style. She had some fabulous outfits.
