Mostly midaxi/maxi dresses, mostly in plant based tones from dark wood brown to oatmeal via every shade of green, some floral, some plain, some in black, a few with a blue print on white/cream reminiscent of Delft or tiles. Occasionally somebody wearing a full, highwaisted skirt with a boat neck, draped top in a toning colour. There's an optional loose shirt in cream, black, brown or beige to cover the arms from the sun. There's very little bare skin visible, so the occasional person wearing a mini skirt really stands out.
Most footwear is Birkenstock style or Crocs.
Hair is up without exception, sunglasses on, headwear optional. Bags are either raffia/jute macramé totes or suede hobos. Carrying large water bottles is non negotiable.
Then you have the 14 year old girl uniform as previously described with the denim shorts and trainers (and a minority that are wearing football length shorts and long sleeved cotton underneath t shirts instead of vest tops).
As far as the men are concerned, they seem to be wearing short sleeved shirts either buttoned or loose over t shirts with long shorts and mostly deck shoes.
Everybody seems to be treating the sun as though they're a woodlouse disturbed underneath a log - going from one patch of shade to another as quickly as possible. But there aren't anywhere near as many people out as usual because they're being sensible and staying in the shade.
