Relaxed denim shorts, not high waisted not jorts. Help

I just want a pair of medium to low waist denim shorts. I've got thinner thighs size 12.
Want them relaxed not skin tight not baggy not a line not barrel not making me look like a garbage man.
Has anybody got any just plain kind of "day off" style shorts recommendations.

Asda have some denim jogger-style shorts, so loose with a drawstring, do you mean that kind of thing ?

Uniqlo, I bought denim culottes and shorts, great quality for the price.

I just bought these, they arrived today. They are really nice but do come up a bit big so are going back to be exchanged. I’m size 8-10 on bottom half and went for a size 10 but they sag around my bum so going to go for size 8.

Next denim boyshorts. I'm also a 12 with slim thighs and these are so comfortable and flattering I wear them all the time! I think they are out of stock in Next but there are loads on ebay and probably vinted too

I stumbled across these in Peacocks of all places recently after losing a lot of weight (and most of my previously large bum) all my shorts hung off me this year. Next Boy Shorts are what you need. They are Women’s shorts, just called Boy Shorts. Not sure if Next still do them but I got mine from Vinted last year. I am a size 8 in Next jeans and bought a 10 so they are nice and loose.

ASOS Mom shorts fit the bill I think. £22 and 3 colours.

I have some that i bought from Nutmeg in Morrisons last summer. They are not tight or baggy, they are so comfy.

The Hush ones with a star on one pocket. They’re all over vinted.
