Relaxed denim shorts, not high waisted not jorts. Help

I just want a pair of medium to low waist denim shorts. I've got thinner thighs size 12.
Want them relaxed not skin tight not baggy not a line not barrel not making me look like a garbage man.
Has anybody got any just plain kind of "day off" style shorts recommendations.

H&M had a good selection - or another vote for the Next boy shorts.

I have Next boy shorts as well (two pairs in different colours). They are perfect. I sized up so they sit a bit lower and they are really comfortable and look good. I have slim thighs too.

Very sorry to hear they are discontinued. I might go and haunt Vinted and see if I can find another pair or two for when mine give up the ghost. Won't steal yours, OP, we are different sizes!

Was coming on to say Next boy shorts. Theyre perfect length, not too long and mid rise.

I've got these they’re brilliant comfy and look good.

Honestly Primark! I’ve got some from a few years ago and still love them. Have seen they’re in again this year, think they do raw hem and hemmed depending on what you want and loads of colours, mine are black

You need mid rise a line shorts, Zara or topshop! I got a nice pair from Primark on Vinted too!

I got three pairs of these. They are flattering and comfortable. I sized up but you don’t really need to. I just find they look better when I’m sitting down if they are looser

I don't want a line. I just want normal.

Agreed, I put them in my basket on a whim when doing a big holiday try on the other week and have been wearing them most days since. I haven't got on with denim shorts for a while, but these are great.
