Sorry everyone! I didn't realise how near the end of the old thread we were.

What on earth have you all done with yourselves for the last few hours? 😂

As always everyone welcome to join in and hopefully this is the thread we see the first 'big' BAC reveal. 😍

for those of us without the email - can you share the contents?

pinkchampagne1 · 01/07/2026 08:11

Ooh, first reveal! 😃 I haven’t had the email yet. Is it fragrance heavy again? I see it is priced at £285 this year

Mejera · 01/07/2026 08:11

Hopefully this link works: https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/beauty-advent-calendar/

Edit- already posted 😄 I'm safe from this one - too much fragrance/sprays. I'll maybe try to pick up the odd thing on Vinted instead.

LightandBreezy · 01/07/2026 08:14

Yeah it £285 this year, value of £1300 allegedly. The email says BD members get £25 off so slightly less than the usual edit discount, but I think it looks good - Box and bag both very pretty and festive which is often lacking in other luxury AC's.

Looks like 8 fragrances.

Well sleuthed @ElizabethG81

Ha ha I didn’t think I would be right quite so soon 😂

pinkchampagne1 · 01/07/2026 08:17

Hmm, not sure it jumps out at me. Nice bag but too many repeats from last year’s Harrods for me (MZ eye cream, U beauty serum, AB face oil) and no stand out product.

IlovePond · 01/07/2026 08:18

I am SO disappointed! I loathe those perfumes and the other products, (with a few exceptions), are all ‘meh’. And so many minis. AND more expensive!

I am really fed up because I joined the BD specifically to get this year’s calendar!

For those in BD - if you end your membership, how long do you have to spend your money? (I never buy in Liberty usually, so edits, etc. hold no interest for me and I won’t spend money on those instead.)

I would like to stop my membership now and save the money in there until Xmas 27. Is that even possible?

Thanks

Beautyfox · 01/07/2026 08:18

I like the overall look of this. It seems more fragrance heavy than usual for me but I don’t mind that. There are a few duds but some things I would like to try. The increase is price is disappointing esp as it doesn’t seem like there are many wow products but I think it’s the extra fragrance that’s bumping up the value but will watching the dissections of the contents with interest. However, I will not be preordering because of the long estimated delivery date is part way whilst I’m on holiday so like last year I will have to wait until September to order.

Edited to add: i like that they have launched this on the same day the rewards vouchers have come through. A ‘saving’ of over £100 due to rewards/bd makes it more tempting. However, will I be able to hold on to the rewards vouchers and not spend them between now and September…..I may have talked myself out of it by then.

trying29 · 01/07/2026 08:19

i had this calendar last year and there are lots of similarities - its a shame they've not mixed it up more.

Caggie09 · 01/07/2026 08:20

Only a few of the full size items take my fancy. Nice selection of fragrance too. But as pp said, saying sonethibgs full size when really its travel sized..

ClutteredPalace · 01/07/2026 08:20

I'm quite disappointed with it to be honest, I've already got most of the fragrances and a lot of the full sizes are more like travel sizes. I do love the bag though but that will turn up on vinted.

IlovePond · 01/07/2026 08:24

I’ve answered my own question - seems like I have 24 months from cancellation to spend the BD drop money but I don’t know if I trust them for it to work.

Does anyone know how you spend your voucher credit if you have cancelled your subscription?

I knew I was taking a chance on saving up for this year’s calendar but I didn’t expect it to be this awful.

Fleecy · 01/07/2026 08:27

I like it - I always enjoy fragrances and skincare and I didn't have Harrods last year so I don't have those products. I had £180 in BD and got the £25 off so it's cost me £80 today which seems very little for what it is. BD doesn't seem like real money!

OvaHere · 01/07/2026 08:34

I like this more than last years. I nearly bought the Reome Active Broth from Liberty when I was last there.

There's only one of the perfumes that I like - Blue Talisman Extrait. I love this one.

Some nice skincare I know I'll like and I quite like the make up selection this year.

So not an immediate WOW but I could see me getting this more than last year.

Edit to add - I don't not like all the perfumes, I just have or have tried most of them. So only one that really appeals.

I was looking at these last night but bought ch kit and then the westman atelier edit from cult at bedtime so thought id leave it. Most sold only a pinky blush one left that would have been my last choice so fate decided 🤩

BurningTheToast · 01/07/2026 08:37

It's a 'meh' for me. Too many small sizes, Brands like Verden and Zelens that I don't love and perfumes that don't suit me. For the money, I think I'll hold out for Harrods or F&M.

Mind you, by October I may have changed my mind!

I do like the bag though if anyone doesn't want theirs!

Beautyfox · 01/07/2026 08:41

I’ve just realised they’re missing PK! I’m really hoping this is a sign of no more PK. I think I might agree to buy every advent calendar that doesn’t contain Pk. 😂

This is a miracle!

I think it’s a solid offering that will probably look better as we get more reveals from others. I love the stars detail on the calendar drawers, and the bag.

IlovePond · 01/07/2026 08:53

I’ve just gone back in and had another look.

Apart from the MZ, the Zelens and the AB, there is nothing I actually like. I could, of course, use up the numerous body lotions eventually, albeit without any enthusiasm, (but I have roughly 1000 to get through already in the ´horde’ 😿).

The rest of it would be going straight on eBay, (where - judging from last year’s performance, I would shift stuff for a fiver each, if I was lucky!)

There were things I didn’t like in last year’s calendar, (the perfumes mainly), but there were also great full size items like the EL serum and the AB eye cream.

I don’t know what to do now - I was only planning to get the one calendar this year - Liberty - and only because I had been saving up for it via BD.

I realise this is a first world problem and it’s my fault for joining BD in hopes of a similar calendar to last year, but I am feeling grumpy!

I agree it will probably look better down the line. The perfume selection is a bit disappointing but that's more on me for being someone who has tried a lot.

I think it's unlikely to beat SNK in terms of appeal as they do put a lot of proper full sizes in theirs. Harrods last year was a lot of travel sizes/minis but I did end up enjoying that for the variety.

I'm on the fence right now but I know there's no rush to decide. Plus point is that it wouldn't cost much in 'real' money as I have BD vouchers but I'd probably only keep about half of the contents.

I did the same last year. Saved it all up then didn't like the calendar enough. They always do a BD members event around Sept/Oct - last year I used my BD vouchers to buy a perfume with 20% off instead.

They don't usually sell out for ages so you've got plenty of time to mull it over or decide what to do with the credit.

IlovePond · 01/07/2026 09:04

That’s true @OvaHere - I will decide later in the year and keep BD going for a while. I will be amazed if this year’s calendar sells out!

I am very interested to see what the other 2026 calendars are like - I still regret not getting SNK24, (didn’t rate last year’s).

LightandBreezy · 01/07/2026 09:05

I like it better than last years, have been wanting to try the Reome Broth, like the look of the sisleya lotion and would like to try the MZ eye cream as it's different to the one I have. Don't really want the perfumes except for the Blue Talisman. I liked the look of the make up initially but would worry it could be disappointing depending on which shades you got. I want to try something from Violette FR and that shade looks a lot more wearable on the model than it does in the packet. Glad it's low on hair stuff.
