Sorry everyone! I didn't realise how near the end of the old thread we were.

What on earth have you all done with yourselves for the last few hours? 😂

As always everyone welcome to join in and hopefully this is the thread we see the first 'big' BAC reveal. 😍

Rhode bronzer in Pebble arrived today. Just tried it out and I like it on first impression. Blends out really well but gives out a bit more colour than the MBM Skin Enhancer. It has a pinky/red undertone which works better for me than any that pull warm/orange.

Thanks - I may have ordered the Sisley neck cream too. And the enzyme mask (which I've wanted to try for ages) to also get the free gift 😳

Aaaand some biodance masks from Amazon (looove them, when I've got the occasional night alone and no hubby to laugh!), and some clothes in the Cos sale 😂Ooops! But all stuff that will be used!

which colour of the biodance mask do you recommend for me to try? I have sensitive combination skin with acne break out in hormonal area since Feb… xx

Oooh, not entirely sure - I've not tried them all. I used to use only the pink one (collagen), which I still like - but now alternate the lilac one (PDRN), and find that richer/more hydrating. I think the pink one might get a bit annoying/stuck on broken or sensitive skin.

I've not tried it, but the green (sea kelp) might be best for sensitive skin?

They're all still at a very good price on Amazon, and I've not had issues buying from there - but also available from Boots, which is very handy.

They're in danger of beating Elasticiser for the top spot. 😂

I have about 5 of them i do like them to be fair but there's only so many you need.

I was really struggling with hormonal acne, the cysts were so painful. I was able to get an appointment with a nurse who put me on some tablets and it cleared up within a few weeks. I haven't had a new cyst since December. I've just gone from taking a tablet every day to every 3 days. So if you haven't already, I really recommend you speak to your GP surgery 🙂

Sounds nice! I’m really excited for Sunbed and the two Highlight Milks I ordered to arrive.

Btw: Just a heads up, (pun intended!)

I have just used Arkive scalp scrub and my head feels like it’s on fire. I have rewashed my hair with cold water twice, but my scalp and face are itching and stinging. I am very much hoping that everything settles down without damage.

Obviously it is now in the bin!

I thought I would mention it in case anyone else has it in their stash. I didn’t buy it separately, so it must have been in an edit or a GWP at some point. I know some people on here do have skin sensitivity so please be careful if this product is on your ‘to try’ list!

I have the Arkive hair oil, btw, and that’s lovely.

BurningTheToast · 26/06/2026 15:37

Skincarre gurus - may I ask your advice please?

I have the Kat Burki Vitamin C Intensive cream that came in one of the Liberty edits and I'm wondering whether I should use a Vit C serum with it? At the moment I'm finishing an Omorovicza Vit C serum and have been following it with Elemis marine cream. If I'm using the Kat Burki do you think I should go for a more gentle hydrating-type serum beneath it? I probably have a number of them in the stash....

IlovePond · 26/06/2026 15:43

@BurningTheToast - others will know more, but I believe it’s only recommended to use one Vit C product at a time and always to use sunscreen with it if using g in the daytime.

I do wear sunscreen if I'm venturing outside much but I'm mostly at home hunched over my laptop so don't always bother... And I'm in Scotland and have to admit to a fairly devil-may-care attitude to the sun - we see it so little!

I'd probably use both together as I don't think a cream is going to be very potent. I can be a bit cavalier in trying stuff though.

I thought that but then spotted that the Kat Burki is 15% Vit C which felt like a lot

SheilaFentiman · 26/06/2026 16:27

I used the Lumene Vit C serum followed by the Lumene Vit C day cream and it was a mistake. I got stinging cheeks and then later on, a skin rash. So I am not doubling up on Vit C again.

The Lumene Vit C serum by itself was/is fine.

Maybe not then to be on the safe side.

I had selected the JL Elemis cleanser reward and have placed two orders today but neither seem to have explicitly mentioned the cleanser at checkout. Has anyone else had this and has it turned up in the order please?

You need to follow the link on the reward page to add it to your basket, then the voucher being activated zeros the cost at checkout.

Doglover73 · 26/06/2026 19:03

Ive been using a mini kat burki vit c before deciding if I open the one from the kit.
I have rosacea and my skin is pretty sensitive and menopausal and its been ok.
I woukdnt use a vit c serum as well but my skin couldn't handle the medik 8 advanced tetra.
Id be cautious unless your skin can handle a lot.

Thank you so much. I never even thought to check with the doctors if there’s anything they could prescribe, I have tried everything from cutting back on everything which made no difference to starting up my usual routine again which hasn’t made it worse. I’ve even ordered a blue light thing xx

Thelifeofawife · 26/06/2026 23:19

Look Fantastic have 25% off plus extra 5% at the moment. I’ve just purchased a few things that have been sat in my basket waiting for a good discount, as well as a couple of staple products. I did discover I also had £5 credit, so what’s £120 between friends 😁

LoveLabradors · 27/06/2026 07:41

@Twinsandsome i found that tret cleared up most of my acne. I still get a bit on my chin which is undoubtedly hormonal but it’s much better.

Doglover73 · 27/06/2026 09:38

Oh looks amazing. Hopefully its well organized. 😍
