Comfortable chunky sandals for work and jeans under £120

I have a couple of Birkenstocks in different colors but wanted something a bit more structured that could look good both with jeans and work trousers or skirt.
I like chunky sandals but I am quite short and a size 12 so don’t want anything that makes me look too bulky.
I need them to be comfy - budget up to £120.
Brands I usually like are Sezane, Esska, Jonak etc.

@Sunshine697 would you say they are true to size?

Yep, true to size I would say.
I did get the wide option as I have wide feet and they fit so well.

I’ve had a pair of these for about 6 years and can confirm they are both comfy and nicely chunky. I wear them with jeans / dresses / shorts etc.
Im very tempted to buy some DM Blaires too but I shouldn’t coz I really don’t need them…

Northofthebordermum · 24/06/2026 09:52

I have just bought these in white and I love them - somehow chunky but 'neat' which works for my massive feet! Very comfy and go with everything. Camper has an amazing selection and a sale on right now - great quality too.

Oh, these are really nice - glad I came on the thread!

Dr Martens are your friend. Voss IIs are so comfy (Blaires less so). I just bought these Fitflops. Love ‘em. No idea if these are too ‘mature’ or not…lol

I vote Gabor www.gabor-shop.fr/collections/sandales/products/sandales-beiges-en-cuir-25 or Fly London www.flylondonshop.co.uk/womens/samb245fly - proper chunky models and good colours - I would step away from the black, sandals are summer wear so maybe a light neutral, would go with everything?

Meant to say, I have both brands (not these exact styles though) and they are very comfortable

I don’t think you can beat doc marten sandals, me and my colleagues wear them (early 20’s-late 60’s) with an array of clothes. Super comfortable but a few people have said they took a few wears to bed them in. I never had an issue though.

PinkNeonSign · 25/06/2026 07:46

Another vote for DMs, I have the Gryphons and found them comfy from first wear. Office has a sale on at the minute so I think most of the styles will be in your budget.

GHOSTTHINKER · 25/06/2026 12:38

I would suggest the doc marten or UGG sandals tbh both are fab and really comfy.
Or I also bought these a few weeks back and they are soooo comfy, cheap too could get every colour for your budget @Homeiswherethedogsare

Definitely recommend DM sandals, funky and very comfortable. Carvela pavilion sandals are nice, some are on sale as well. Kurt Geiger have some nice ones too but I have never owned a pair.

Goldleafcat · 25/06/2026 21:09

I’ve just ordered this exact pair! Have been mulling it over for a few days (not originally a fisherman style fan but they’ve been growing on me). I’m hoping the neutral colour works with quite a few different looks.
