If so, do you get a lot of wear out of it? Or only wear it sometimes? And do you know the tcw?

45 years ago when I worked in Birmingham city centre I used to regularly drool over a tennis bracelet in the window of Nathan’s Jewellers in Corporation Street. It was £7k then !!! I never did buy it.

@user378657486I appreciate it’s not for everyone but money can be spent in various ways and a tennis bracelet is a fairly standard piece of jewellery. Some people might like to consider something different.

@managingexpectations@sammylady37 So should I wear this every day? I don’t but maybe you would?

Edited

That's very similar to the art deco one I have, and, no, I don't wear it except when I'm very dressed up. It feels over the top for daily wear. So I'm looking for something a little more understated and more standard 😄

I'm thinking of this (the top one). It has a draw cord on the other side, so will stay snug.

That is bloody stunning and I need it

user378657486 · 25/06/2026 21:32

Thank you to everyone who's given advice.

@PS5Gamer Why do you think you don't wear the new one?

@Latteapparel I actually can't sleep with any jewellery at all on. I take everything off at night, including my wedding ring.

@SapphireSeptember I love amethyst

I broke mine, had it repaired. Broke it again. It's in the jewellery box. I have better luck with bangles. I also caught a triple row pearl bracelet. The pearls scattered all over the restaurant floor. 🙈

momtoboys · 25/06/2026 21:35

I do and I wear it all the time. I wear it because I frequently break jewelry that I take on and off, so I just leave it on. Its only 3 carats, so not ostentatious.

@user378657486I like the bangle, where is it from. Don’t love the cord im afraid. I don’t really wear my tennis bracelet as pps have said I don’t think it’s my style really.

The bangle is by Suzanne Kalan - my husband bought it for me for Christmas 6 or 7 years ago. This is a US site as I couldn't find it on the UK one anymore.

I think I'm alone in kind of liking the cord!

Classic Diamond Thin Bangle

Crafted from 18k gold, this bangle boasts a delicate band set with 1.70 carats of baguette white diamonds, offering a continuous ribbon of sparkle. Its slim profile makes it a versatile piece, perfect for stacking or wearing alone as a subtle statement...

@user378657486thank you, I like the fact it would stay if that makes sense

deste · 25/06/2026 21:52

I have it on now, i was out a couple of weeks ago and havent taken it off yet.

Anonmousse · 25/06/2026 22:02

Im a jeweller and I could get a tennis bracelet at trade price....but i feel like they aren't my style. I love the top, diamond section of the corded one @user378657486 ....but feel a bit conflicted by the cord in terms of durability/potentially discolouring.

Having said that 3 LG traditional style diamond tennis bracelets came in to be repaired today, and honestly the wire I needed to pull down to re-link them was barely thicker than a human hair! (0.3mm)

Tortephant · 25/06/2026 22:13

Yes. Wear it 99.9% of the time. Only take it off if going into London now.

Why can’t you wear it in London?

GingerKombucha · 25/06/2026 22:17

I have quite a bling-y one. Was about £10k, am scared to lose it but wear it when out to dinner, black tie things etc so probably no more than once a month. Makes me feel very glam though.

Randomchat · 25/06/2026 22:21

I want one for my birthday later this year. I'm not fussed about diamonds particularly. I'm reading all your tips. Thank you

ChristmasCwtch · 25/06/2026 22:22

I bought a tennis bracelet 3ct (each stone 0.10ct) 18 years ago. I wore it twice, once on my wedding day and then once more. The claws kept catching and snagging my dress. I then reset the diamonds into a white gold bangle 10 years ago…which I’ve worn once 😂 Now just sat in my jewellery box! Waste of money in my case. I remember thinking it would be a timeless, well-loved item. It’s not.

I wouldn’t wear it every day at work, supermarket etc, but I would wear it if out for drinks/dinner, even a special night at home. I did initially keep mine for best but then decided to use it and enjoy it, so it makes an appearance every 3-4 weeks now. I have an antique platinum and diamond bangle that I wear nearly every day, although a higher carat weight and more valuable than my tennis bracelet, it’s somehow less ‘conspicuous’ and doesn’t look ott at work etc.

My DD has a necklace similar to the "By The Yard" diamond bezel set stations in gold .
I bought her a bracelet for her birthday , it will only leave her wrist when she dyes her hair .
She claims she'll be buried in them !

She loves jewellery and gold./diamonds are for wearing .

Oof, that doesn't sound all that secure!

Re the durability of the cord, it says this on the website

  • The cord is waterproof and can be worn in water, with no need to take it off. However, please note that it is still a delicate piece of jewelry, so handle with care.
  • If you’d like to change the cord over time, feel free to email us at [email protected], and we'll send you a new one free of charge. You will just need to cover the shipping fees.

I have a few diamond bracelets but have never had a tennis style one until a couple of weeks ago
I prefer yellow gold and found this one in 18ct gold second hand although the diamonds are quite small they are very good quality and not illusion set

I've got a moissanite and white gold bezel set one. I love it but don't wear it very often, maybe every couple of months. It feels a bit too blingy for regular wear.

WOW! There's some serious bling on that website!!

I've been following your thread with interest @user378657486 It's my 50th next month and I've been looking for a half band diamond bangle!

That's a lovely one @JaceLancs

I have recently realised that it seems to actually be pretty difficult to find very good quality small diamonds so that's a great find, especially in 18kt too!

millit · 25/06/2026 23:19

I wear mine everyday. It’s quite small and delicate so it’s easy to wear and I’ve given up keeping things for best
