Hello you lovely stylish people.
Im the frumpy aunt. I want to be the stylish aunt. Please help. I’m 60. 5ft 4inches. In reasonable shape. I’ve no idea where to start with the colourful cocktail dress code. The wedding is in London in August. Budget up to £300. I’ve been procrastinating so any ideas, styles and tips very gratefully received.

lol at people who are 5ft 4in complaining about the length of clothes!

I'm 5ft tall and a very narrow frame but ludicrously big boobs (30FF). I accepted long ago that very few clothes will fit me straight off the peg. Most things I buy go straight from the shop to the alteration tailor at the local dry cleaners to be shortened and/or taken in at the neck and shoulders. If she can't fix it, it gets returned. It's not expensive, it probably adds £10-£15 to the cost of a dress or jumpsuit but the difference in the appearance of having something perfectly tailored to fit my body is worth ££££.
