That was me who liked the turf dress, it was hand-painted vintage fabric so I appreciate the workmanship that went into it! I also loved the green and pink Vampire's Wife dresses Kate has worn but I draw the line at Erdem!

I really like Sophie's navy dress. I was not too fond of her necklace when she wore it at her wedding, but I think it works with the navy dress.

What’s so bad about red?

Nothing at all - see my comment about Paula Sutton (qv). She looks fabulous in red.

I must be getting old. Some of those shoes are making me imagine having sore feet and the fact that they are obviously new is making me think “ooh is it a good idea to wear brand new, stiff shoes all
day at Ascot” 🤔😆😆

Nothing per se, I just think it’s extremely difficult to look good in top to toe red. Especially when the TV coverage lumped together a gaggle of women all in nothing but tomato red, including huge hats - it was quite the grotesquerie.

Actually a couple of the best outfits I saw were tomato red, but it's a strong colour, especially in the summer. It's great in the winter, I think.
