What’s going on with Monty’s trousers?

As per title. I’m watching the Chelsea flower show and can’t take my eyes off Monty’s trousers. They look like they’re 6” too long.
Anyway, back to the gardens. Love the Lady Garden ( sounds rude) and the water features.

Too long, too wide, jacket too tight and doesn't fit on the shoulders, tie too tight .... bring back the scarf!!!!

Even my sartorially challenged DH, commented on his ill-fitting suit.

Mine too and he’s not known for his fashion style. I think he pays lip service to the need for a suit to present at Chelsea, whether that’s a thing or not and it’s a very unstructured suit. Even if he doesn’t enjoy wearing a suit, something that actually fits would improve things,

Looks like a kid in his dad's suit. Why didn't someone at the BBC make sure he has clothes that fit him properly?

Perhaps I should get this moved to style and beauty board, as I loved Arit Anderson‘s dress, but thought Rachel De Thame looked like she was at a WI meeting.
Absolutely loved the amazing wooden head garden. Such an amazing piece.

I noticed his fairly awful suit too.
I didn’t like Rachel’s dress either.
The orchids were beautiful and the tree sculpture amazing.

Haha I noticed them aswell , far too voluminous, especially in relation to his jacket which fitted at the top but flared out and was too long at the bottom . A very odd suit Tbf although most would just except he’s eccentric and forgive it .

Arit always looks amazing . I wasn’t keen on Francis dress either , the green satin number with the large joker collar thing .

Frances’s dress didn’t suit her and was too fussy at the top.

I love Frances' style usually, she looks.like the most beautiful Land Girl of World War II. Gorgeous face.

It must be a nightmare deciding what to wear as the weather is so changeable. Cold and wet today and 27 degrees on Friday.

Today’s highlights show is brilliant. I’m going to ask for this thread to moved to style and beauty.

Saw the most horrible Daily Fail article earlier - sneering at female celebs' outfit choices. Some were criticised for being too colourful, others were slammed for being "rather dull" (brown and green), while others were criticised for inappropriate footwear. Notice they didn't have anything to say about any men's appearances!

Monty is forgiven everything as he's so lovely and his voice is both interesting and soothing. I am in love with Sarah Eberle's style though. That scarf and that coat are just wonderful and captivating. The coat has got to be bespoke but I wonder if the scarf is available.

I think he planted himself in the suit this year, and by next year he will have grown into it, provided he keeps himself watered.

@PumpkinSly Monty Don does what he wants. He’s not manageable. He always looks semi scruffy and seems like a spoilt child quite often.

@Earwigoagain great spot. It is stunning, out of my price range for sure for the few times I could wear. Her whole ethos seemed to be about being joyful. I now nothing about her and hadn't actually heard of her previously but am now a fan. 😁

Exactly! It’s the same as when they run articles on Aintree or Ascot. Mostly derogatory comments about the women, nothing about the men ( unless they’ve got into a fight 😀).
