Which Adidas trainers are most comfortable: Samba, Spezial or Paris?

I’m trying to decide between three different styles of adidas trainers - samba, spezial and paris. If you’ve tried one or more, which are the most comfortable?

I have the samba ones - they look great but they are so slippy! Even on dry surfaces.
fell backwards flat on my back on a busy crossing in central London! Spezial are much better (as in not slippy) but too wide for my feet.

CherryMorello79 · 27/04/2026 16:04

I find my Spezials the most comfy.

FrenchandSaunders · 27/04/2026 16:06

I love my specialz. Didn't need breaking in like most of my trainers, instantly comfy, and I walk miles in them.

PauliesWalnuts · 27/04/2026 16:08

Be careful if you have had issues with plantar fasciitis- I can no longer wear my beloved Sambas as it triggers my PF.

Thank you, that’s really helpful.. now to decide on which colour!

I LOVE the Breaknet Sleek ones - half the price of the ones that have the name on the trainer and this cloudsoft insole. They are the comfiest shoes I've ever had had...I have them in 4 colours 🤣

Next also have them and they have some different colours to the Adidas website.

shardlakem · 27/04/2026 20:23

The spezials are really soft so they are comfy as they are flexible but SO flat, I can't walk too far in mine. I also have a pair of breaknets and they are super comfy and padded but I found I needed to half size up.

ThatRosePanda · 27/04/2026 20:28

I love my specials, found sambas uncomfortable and veg flat.

ainsleysanob · 27/04/2026 20:31

I collect Spezials! I have far too many pairs! They have a nice arch in them and they are the only footwear I will put on my feet!

toodisorganisedforschool · 27/04/2026 20:35

I agree about Spezials. I have leather ones and they were comfy from the first wear.

NorthEastNancy · 27/04/2026 20:37

I have really wide feet. Spezials are best for me

IceStationZebra · 27/04/2026 20:38

Spezials for sure. It took me a while to get comfy in them but after a few wears they are perfect.

I’m eyeing up those breaknet sleeks that @Imenti linked to, my credit card is twitching 😅

itsasmallworldafteralll · 27/04/2026 20:39

Agree with all the pp. Spezials are the best ones, quite wide and a good arch support. Got a new pair today and they’re comfy straight away!

DailyEnergyCrisis · 27/04/2026 21:04

I have narrow feet and the specialz are also great for me- I just wear the laces a bit tighter and they look great. Very flexible, go with everything. I like the cream/gold combo. Took this pic the other day when a friend asked for trainer recommendations.

Spezials. I find sambas sore after a while. The most comfortable adidas I have are Japan’s.

Branleuse · 27/04/2026 21:19

I think you need to try them on really, as it's about your own feet as much as the shoe.

My comfiest Adidas are my forum lows. In fact they're my comfiest trainers in general.
I like the Adidas jeans trainers too

Boilingwarm · 27/04/2026 21:19

I’m the odd one out here but I had to put my Spezials on Vinted as I could not get on with them. They were so rigid at the back and really hurt my heels. Have never had any issues with Sambas or Gazelles.

RampantIvy · 27/04/2026 21:26

I agree. My Adidas trainers are really comfy, but I have no idea which ones they are. I had to try on many pairs of trainers to find some this comfortable.

ForeverDelayedEpiphany · 27/04/2026 22:26

Spezials are definitely great for my silly wide feet. I do love a pair of Gazelles too, but I tried on the Sambas and really struggled, even though I wanted to love them.

MustDust · 27/04/2026 22:40

Sambas are lovely, but they are so flat I'm having to shelve them at the mo due to a mortons neuroma flare. Spezials have a really high arch so depends if that works for you, I couldn't walk in them all day as I have really flat feet. Gazelle are comfier, but the ones I can trek round London for a whole weekend in are Stan Smiths, sadly not on trend this year but definitely comfiest for me.

socks1107 · 27/04/2026 22:44

Spezials for me! I have some gazelles too but not worn them yet.
i have two pairs of spezials and live in them, the arch is really comfy

GeneralWaste · 27/04/2026 22:47

I have Spezials. The guy in the shop said they were identical to some other ones (Sambas?) but they had an arched bit on the inside. They are really comfortable. I did go up half a size but I think my feet have grown slightly anyway.

Cyclingmummy1 · 27/04/2026 22:49

I find Sambas quite wide. Love the Liberty print though 😆

99bottlesofkombucha · 28/04/2026 00:17

I can’t remember which these are but I just bought inserts as they are too flat for me, really disappointing. Stan smiths were great, could walk for days.

Verite1 · 28/04/2026 00:26

Sambas ripped my heels up when I first got them. They are better now, but not as comfortable as my leather stan smiths or my adidas courts.
