Newbie here but needing advice.
my daughter is looking for prom dresses. She is 16 and wants to look amazing of course. However she is a size 20 due to medical issues.
I just can’t seem to find anything that isn’t too plain and too old for her. She’s getting increasingly upset.
I’m not rich by any means so can afford custom made etc.
Does anybody have any ideas out can point me in the right direction.
She wants it to be blue and shoe off her bust!!
Thank you.

Check your local TK Maxx. They don't have lots but you only need one dress.

I know in some areas lots of girls rent dresses for prom?

Honestly, I’ve bought some lovely evening dresses off Amazon for about £50. By the time you’ve steamed any creases out, added hair make up and jewellery, no one would know you’ve not spent £400 on a dress. It’s all about her confidence in herself.

The Malena green dress is lovely

Just a heads up that the reviews for Promformal on Trustpilot are not brilliant

If you can find a dress that is mostly right at a good price take it to a seamstress and they can work wonders.

Have you searched for prom dress charities near you? My Dd school had 1 come into school with dresses of all sizes. It could be worth looking on Facebook or talking to the school.

Ever pretty sell through Amazon so safer than directly from China. Always size up. There used to be prom dress sales around this time a year in Leicester, but I moved away a while ago.

I used this site. Was worried if it would arrive in time and how the quality would be.
it took a while to arrive but within quoted time and needed a good steam but the dress was lovely. Sparkly and princess like!
you can also submit measurements.
no refund if it doesn’t fit though.

Drop these a message. A couple of hours away from you but I know some people are prepared to drive anywhere to get the perfect dress. My daughter is tiny so I don’t know if they do the size you’re after, but their pricing is very cheap. I refused to spend a fortune just for a few hours, so these were perfect for me. They’re on Facebook. They’re in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
