Do these wedding shoes look unsuitable for very wide feet?

Hi everyone
I recently bought these louboutins for my wedding which I searched far and wide for. I have very wide feet but I am also very paranoid about my feet! I am still in the returns window do my feel just look too wide for these? Please be very honest as they were a lot of money and I can take it! 😂

I once spent what I thought was a lot on a pair of shoes (about £250) for a James Bond themed party and they were similar in style to this. I wore them that night and they were ok, not very comfy and I don’t remember anyone really noticing them as my dress was long anyway. Never wore them again and could have worn something way cheaper with no issue. Genuinely don’t think those are worth that kind of money. It’s not like they’re a pair of leather shoes that will last you a lifetime.

Daffodilsinthespring · 15/04/2026 06:11

Your feet don’t look wide but those shoes are horrible. They look like £3 Primark sale shoes.

Boopybop · 15/04/2026 06:55

£1,400 on a pair of shoes that hurt you and you probably won’t wear again? Thats bonkers. Sorry OP, I’m in the ‘don’t like them’ camp. The silver ones are much nicer.

owlpassport · 15/04/2026 08:14

Why do you want such high heels, and why do they have to be designer? I'm not being an arse, they're genuine questions. Is that your usual style?

I think there are much nicer shoes out there, but you'll need to give us some clues on what you like if you'd like recommendations.

ETA - also if you have a traditional wedding dress it will be altered for length with your shoes on. If you go for 4 inch heels and then switch to flats early on, your dress will look too long. I went for mid heels and then switched to trainers for the evening.

I don't like them at all. They also cross your foot at the widest part and they're not flattering. They don't look like expensive shoes. Return.

I agree with this. Maybe in real life they look expensive but they aren’t flattering and look high street in the photo, which is fine but not if you’re paying designer.

Ohpleeeease · 15/04/2026 08:18

They look fine OP. Nothing wrong with wide feet that aren’t pudgy or misshapen, yours aren’t.

But don’t keep the shoes. It’s a ridiculous price, they will feel like agony and that will show in your face. Take lots of photos to remind you that you once owned them and then send them back.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 15/04/2026 08:20

@FTMazThey actually look fine but you are drawing attention to your feet! They will be hard work all day and what if it rains?

Ohpleeeease · 15/04/2026 08:33

Car to bar shoes, OP. Not practical for standing up in. Send them back.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 15/04/2026 08:36

@OhpleeeeaseAnd only if you are sitting at the bar!

Here are the silver ones. Obviously it's personal taste but I don't like them either. I don't like heels that high.

£1395?!? honestly, if you'd said they cost £13.95 from Primark I wouldn't have questioned you!

BasiliskStare · 15/04/2026 08:41

Of the two I prefer the silver . I think the first ones don't look suitable for any feet. & Sorry to say I do think they look a bit cheap. Pretty but a bit like a little girls princess dress up outfit shoe (apart from the heel of course)

If silver goes , what about these https://www.aquazzura.com/gb_en/so-nude-sandal-85-silver-snumids0-ssy-ccc

Why would you spend over £1000 for uncomfortable shoes that you will take off later in the day never to wear again? Seems like madness to me.

And carried to it by two enormous security guys😂

dudsville · 15/04/2026 09:32

I think the first pair are very pretty, and I think they look nice on you and you have nice feet. However, like everyone else, I simply wouldn't wear uncomfortable shoes.

I do really like these but I already know that the front strap will sit under the 2 sticky out bones in my foot and look awful!

Buy shoes that are comfortable and that you can walk in properly. You will look silly if you are hobbling down the aisle. There are many beautiful shoes out there. I'm sure the lovely people on here can help you find some.

Absolutely this. Don’t ruin your wedding or get blood on your dress. (When they give you blisters) because your feet are hurting. One of my colleagues had custom made converse and they looked amazing.

FTMaz · 15/04/2026 10:15

Thanks for the replies everyone. My dress is not expensive by wedding dress standards hence the splurge on the shoes! Any other suggestions would be great - I don’t really want anything satin I’d prefer a metallic. I’m definitely not a converse girl and I would like a nice pair of heels!

Will you ever wear them again? If not that kind of price is a complete waste of money. Even if it is your wedding!

FlippyKiYayFlippyFlipper · 15/04/2026 10:33

If you have wide feet OP I’d specifically search for wide fit shoes so you can wear them comfortably.

I think these look nice

There are a couple of metallic sandals above. Lower than I suspect you woukd like but I think your could wear them for the entire day rather than switching to flip flops and potentially treading on your dress.

DD has super wide feet and swears by this make. Sadly, for her, shoes are a compromise between high fashion and frump but these meet it relatively well and comfortably.

Louboutin shoes are notoriously uncomfortable. I once watched a documentary and Christian Louboutin said something about pleasure and pain being one and the same. I am convinced his shoes are built to be painful!

I also think the red soles are a bit passé.

However- it’s your big day so if you love them then go for it. I suspect you don’t though, and that’s why you are on here.
