Do these wedding shoes look unsuitable for very wide feet?

Hi everyone
I recently bought these louboutins for my wedding which I searched far and wide for. I have very wide feet but I am also very paranoid about my feet! I am still in the returns window do my feel just look too wide for these? Please be very honest as they were a lot of money and I can take it! 😂

I think they are gorgeous and if you love them then you should wear them. And your feet are lovely not wide at all!

Starbright102 · 15/04/2026 12:04

I think those shoes are absolutely beautiful. One of the nicest pairs iv ever seen. If you can walk in them, please wear them. I dont even think i would be able to stand up but they are stunning.

Edited to say, i see they are heel height 100. I have louboutin heels at this height. If you can break them in ahead of time it will make a huge difference. I dont have the same style but the pain is manageable. The nice alternatives that have been suggested dont come close. Your pair are showstoppers and your feet look fine - not wide.

Hard to say without knowing your style or what your dress is like but:

Valentino Garavani Gold Leather Annet Heeled Sandals 90 | Harrods UK
Love Struck embellished leather sandals in green - Aquazzura | Mytheresa

Just because you haven't splurged on your dress doesn't mean you need to spend a fortune on shoes. None of these are significantly nicer than high street shoes IMO, your guests won't notice the difference, and you might wreck them. My wedding shoes were grass-stained, cost me £200, I wore them once and they were ruined.

They look lovely, your feet don't look too wide!
But are they truly comfortable? You walk miles on your wedding day, it's so important that you feel good

WhosGotTheKeysToMyBimma · 15/04/2026 12:38

Those are car shoes.

You wear them in a car, to a place where you sit, back to a car. You don't walk in them or need to stand for any length of time.

They are lovely, but very unsuitable for a wedding.

Louboutin shoes are notoriously uncomfortable. I once watched a documentary and Christian Louboutin said something about pleasure and pain being one and the same. I am convinced his shoes are built to be painful!

I also think the red soles are a bit passé.

However- it’s your big day so if you love them then go for it. I suspect you don’t though, and that’s why you are on here.

If you have ask on here "do I keep this"? the answer is always "no".

Here is the photo forgot to attach!

I think they look lovely on but why are louboutins always so sky scraper high?
How are you going to move?

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 15/04/2026 12:49

My DD is getting married fairly soon and wants Chanel shoes. They will be mid heel though: comfort matters! There are absolutely loads of lively shoes around that complement wedding outfits but barely there sandals with sky scraper heels are not the look I would recommend. Louboutin do lower heels by the way.

MrsMoastyToasty · 15/04/2026 12:51

They look like your big and little toes will make a break for freedom and slip off the sides. They also look a bit short.

TBH everyone will be looking at your smiling face, not your feet!
(But hey, what do I know...I bought my shoes from Stead and Simpson in 95 and donated them to my local charity shop soon after ).

FTMaz · 14/04/2026 23:08

Yes - hence needing to be very sure!

They don't look as though they cost over A thousand pounds and given they are so uncomfortable I think you should send them back
I'm sure you could get something nicer and more comfortable for half the price or less!
I know every bride wants to look their best but honesty people look a lot better if they are not in agony!

OK I realise I'm slow - still on the same website - how about these . Way too high for me but they do look like they might be easier to walk in

You are woman after my own heart! Again I LOVE these but my only reservation is the ankle strap because as well as wide feet I also have thick ankles 😂 very unfortunate for someone who is a size 6!

Not “lively” : should read lovely.

FTMaz · 15/04/2026 13:03

also I appreciate everyone’s responses in terms of a lower heel or a block heel but they really aren’t my style. I do have other louboutins in various heel heights which I can wear and manage I think it’s more the style than the heel height. I would go for an 80cm. Just to say I am 5’1 and my fiance is 6’4 so a bit of height for photo purposes at least would be good! 😂

Louboutins, and other designer shoes aren't designed to be worn al day. As a previous poster mentioned car to aisle maybe. Then you are going to be standing around. My wedding shoes were normal day wear ones in a colour that matched my dress. I was comfortable and had great memories when i rewore them

GenerousGardener · 15/04/2026 13:44

I love them. I’d suffer a day in them.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 15/04/2026 14:13

I just don’t like such open toes! One bit of bad weather and it’s a problem. Unless you are abroad of course. I think closed toe is more elegant and many have jewels if you want blind.

Also love these! I’ve just seen they do a silver diamanté version, need to find a stockist so I can try them on!

I've just found them in silver - that's nicer but wasn't on their website. Good luck.

viques · 15/04/2026 16:18

The first pair look agony! Your poor little toes have been completely smothered and will probably shrivel up for lack of circulation and drop off half way through the wedding breakfast.

Go to a real shop, or several real shops and actually try on every possible shoe you can find until you find a pair that you and your feet both like.

I love your original choice and the gianvitorossi ones. Your feet look lovely.

EverythingGolden · 15/04/2026 16:55

I don’t think they are worth all that money personally but it isn’t my wedding day. They are lovely and your feet don’t look wide, no.

Gettingbysomehow · 15/04/2026 23:59

There are loads of wide fit bridal shoes if you google.

BasiliskStare · 16/04/2026 17:53

Do let us know what you end up with @FTMaz

Carerofhedgehog · 16/04/2026 21:42

I think your feet look absolutely lovely. No need to worry about how they look at all. I like the shoes, but they need to be comfortable.
