I actually buy the shampoo and conditioner, after receiving it in a Calendar ( I think) & just use up the Elasticiser as a conditioner. I’d much prefer it to some of the perfumes I’ve gotten from Liberty calendars & Beauty boxes. I’ve found 90% of them to be horrible & have a box full I’ll never use.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 24/04/2026 11:02

Is the gift with purchase worth it for those who have received it ?

Beautyfox · 24/04/2026 11:16

@kenyaswhiterefrigerator not at all. I was really disappointed. Firstly, there is nothing new. Very similar to contents to previous edits, drops, gwp’s etc. The products are tiny. The only full size product in there is the face balm (20ml) which I’ve had in many things recently. If you are spending £300 on something anyway I suppose the decision is if this is worth £60 because you can often get 20% off full price products. Personally, I would let this pass and hope that the Harrods summer gwp which is due out the beginning of May is better.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 24/04/2026 11:19

Thanks @Beautyfox that’s really helpful

I got a leaflet with a qr code instead of the usual leaflet telling us about the products, I missed it too as I enjoy reading their descriptions. Online info was fine but not same experience. I understand saving paper though.

I quite liked the booklet, I understand the reasons for discontinuing it though.

I'm mostly unexcited by the drop, but I'll probably use everything!

Any suggestions what i can treat myself to for my birthday, I have about £100 of liberty vouchers I am happy to spend (am otherwise having a frugal few months as booked eye wateringly expensive ski holiday for one child and paid excruciating amount for dance costumes for the other one!)

I am so undecided and would welcome inspiration!

I quite fancy some decent incense sticks. I keep meaning to ask MNers for opinions on these before buying but never get around to it.

They're classed as a beauty purchase according to the GWP T&C: I'm optimistically hoping they end up in a beauty drop at some point.

I don’t like any of the perfumes I got in the advent calendar or drop boxes so far. They’re all in a pile that I should probably pop on Vinted.

Disappointed to see another PK Elasticizer. I’ll use it but it’s boring.

I wonder if the drop box contents are 2026 advent calendar rejects!

This is what I went for in the end 😁

Beauty pie at liberty, those prices don't look like the RRPs claimed on the BP site last time I looked. Just checked they're the BP subscriber price.

Housewife2010 · 28/04/2026 15:14

I've had a look at the Beauty Pie at Liberty.. They are cheaper than the RRP but more expensive than the subscriber price. E.g. On the BP website the eyeshadow stick has an RRP of £35 ( the same as Chanel but more expensive than Victoria Beckham!). Their subscriber price is £12. The Liberty price is £25.
So what does the RRP actually mean ?

OP posts:
Hicupping · 28/04/2026 16:30

I see eyeshadow sticks at £25 on their site, it's there a hidden price

Hicupping · 28/04/2026 16:39

Sorry I get it now. £35 is fantasy pricing to make you think it's high quality. £25 still too much but supposed to make you think you're getting better quality product than you're paying for. And £12 is to make you subscribe.

They are £25 on Liberty, the other prices are on BP's own site.

OP posts:
Housewife2010 · 28/04/2026 16:42

I was with BP their first couple of years and the prices used to be so good. I think the eyeshadow sticks were about £7. I paid £5 a month subscription.

Toomuchstufff · 29/04/2026 13:51

BP - I looked at the sunscreen I like which is £15 if you’re a BP subscriber. And £29 on liberty.

Toomuchstufff · 29/04/2026 13:52

Anyone else had this from vinted with the perfumes? Deleted listing as it is “Samples, testers or promotional items that are not intended for sale.” And therefore prohibited.

Toomuchstufff · 29/04/2026 13:52

I can’t wear perfume as it gives me migraines so I always pass them on.

Stick it eBay, they don’t care.

I have for an unopened Ataratma Discovery Set which retails at £50 - I was given the same reason as you despite sending proof that they weren't free samples and were available for sale.

Later another seller listed exactly the same item. When I went back to Vinted they said they had no problem with the other sellers item, but couldn't tell me why my listing for the identical product was deleted 🙄

I have that listed with no problems (yet) think it's just the randomness of the censorbot if I'm honest.

HumBumBum · 29/04/2026 16:56

I often buy the sample size perfumes on Vinted (and have sold a couple) so no haven’t had that problem at all. Try again (and what are you selling?)
