Description says cream. I love the dress but I don’t want to offend anyone

That looks like a wedding dress.

amargaritaplease · 05/04/2026 09:24

I mean I don’t think cream is ideal either, it looks very bridal

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 05/04/2026 09:24

Too white/cream, sorry OP.

JumpinJehoshaphat · 05/04/2026 09:25

It looks like the sort of dress someone might wear to get married at a register office. So, it’s a no.

Pineneedlesincarpet · 05/04/2026 09:25

Looks a bit bridesmaidy. Its really pretty though! Get it and wear it for something else!

NormasArse · 05/04/2026 09:26

It is, really.

ForAzureSeal · 05/04/2026 09:26

Yes it is too wedding dressy. Looks like either a registry office dress or something bride might change in to for reception (which seems to be a thing now).

Meredusoleil · 05/04/2026 09:28

Love this! I have a similar one in black. I would go with a different colour as a wedding guest, personally.

Echobelly · 05/04/2026 09:29

Yeah, I'm pretty chilled about this kind of tums thing but it's say people might read that as bridal/bridesmaid. I think people can be a bit ridiculous like you can't even wear a floral dress with a white background, but it's less the colour than embroidered overlay which might ruffle feathers if people were being fussy about it.

Redrose26 · 05/04/2026 09:31

Thank you everyone I will chose something else ☺️

I think it should be ok especially if worn with a jacket or cardigan over it. But I would be double checking with the bride to see exactly what she and the bridesmaids are wearing first. Alternatively get the same dress in a different colour.

ANagsHead · 05/04/2026 09:32

What has the bride done to you, @Redrose26?

Hmm
WutheringFalls · 05/04/2026 09:32

Yes, ridiculous.

Hmm

Seriously ? 🙄

IDontHateRainbows · 05/04/2026 09:36

Id check with the bride if you know her well enough. But I wouldn't wear it.

Redrose26 · 05/04/2026 09:36

I originally seen it on Vinted with people pairing it with nude shoes and accessories as a wedding guest. Hence why I thought it might be okay?
yes, now I can see it’s not

Would be great for a day at the races! Get it for another occasion!

twentyeightfishinthepond · 05/04/2026 09:52

I don’t think the white background is the issue. The layers and complexity are far too “bride”.

BlueDressingGowns · 05/04/2026 09:54

Don’t check with the bride, wtf 😭

SummerFate · 05/04/2026 09:57

Hmm

It never takes long for the crackpots to come out on these threads…

ANagsHead · 05/04/2026 10:14

Goodness - what is the matter with people here nowadays? It’s as if you’ve lost all ability to interpret tone at all. It’s something others have complained of on other threads but this is a real illustration. Why on earth would you assume my casually jokey response was some intense, crackpot hostility?

Absolute madness!

Catcatcatcatcat · 05/04/2026 10:49

Mate! You cannot wear that to another woman’s wedding. 🤣

LilyBunch25 · 05/04/2026 10:51

Yes. Ime guests should always steer away from cream or white. There are plenty of other colours to choose from after all.

RedRock41 · 05/04/2026 12:00

Hell no. Looks like bride or bridal party.

SpringAndSunshineIsHere · 05/04/2026 12:03

Yes. Yes it is.
Are you joking?
