you have a nice full but shaped figure. I think a one piece accentuating and defining your bust more would be better, as it would add balance.

Redragtoabull · 04/04/2026 00:51

I'm a larger lady but love a bikini, so I love the bikini bottom skirts and a good full on bikini bra top. I love the flower design on you.

Corinthiana · 03/04/2026 22:25

Right. It's all 😊 relax!
I think women should wear whatever they feel good in, you don't. That's fine! 🙂

ever heard of the term passive aggressive?

Chickadee001 · 04/04/2026 05:57

Both are fine go for it and enjoy your holibobs, I too don't have the confidence to wear two piece swimsuits and stick to a one peice with tummy control!

pouletvous · 04/04/2026 07:25

One piece maybe better as there’s only a fine strip of
skin on show

InconvenientlyMaterial · 04/04/2026 09:20

You have a balanced figure so absolutely can pull off a bikini. And not just in a "wear what you want" way. In my opinion!

We're all entitled to our own aesthetic opinions, I think it's a bit weird to accuse people who think differently of gaslighting.

Despite being health obsessed (and having grown up in the 90s) I don't think looking good necessarily equals being thin. Or being covered up if you're not thin. Hell, sometimes thin figures are slightly boring.... In my opinion.

I don't like the lack of bust support on the floral one though, I prefer the shape of the black and white.

Where? Benidorm?

FHS!

OP has already said she is very overweight so it's pointless and rather silly to pretend otherwise.

That's gaslighting.

'Thin' is not the opposite of 'overweight'.

'Thin' implies unhealthy.

There is somewhere in between.

Slim and healthy is the goal.

I didn't say anything about OP being overweight or not....?

Oh you mean the gaslighting was people saying she wasn't overweight? Got you, sorry. I think I missed that.

However, absolutely no reason to hide until one has reached a healthy BMI or waist : height ratio. Especially if one has a naturally balanced figure, which OP does.

corblimeyguvnr · 04/04/2026 10:00

What do people mean by a balanced figure? Same size bust and hips?

No she hasn’t and she’s not. She simply said she had ‘major’ weight gain.

Thin does not imply unhealthy - that is entirely your own interpretation. Thin is merely the opposite of fat. Either could be unhealthy depending on the degree and circumstance.

Not overweight? OP has said she is overweight, it’s there to see, so I agree it’s silly for anyone else to pretend that she isn’t. She literally told us that she is and we can see from the photos that she is. It’s not healthy to be carrying the amount of extra fat that she is, again it’s silly to pretend it isn’t.

I’m overweight at 13 stone and 5 ft 4.5. I try to kid myself that it’s not that bad but my mirror tells me otherwise.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 04/04/2026 11:23

For a beach holiday the bikinis look quite good. Sure there are nicer ones out there but they look suitable. I can see the nipples on the flower one though now!

The PP I was responding to said OP was “very” overweight. That’s what I disagreed with. She’s a bit overweight but not massively compared to many in this country. She most certainly didn’t ask for priggish, unsolicited opinions as to whether it’s healthy or not.

OverheardBreakup · 04/04/2026 11:57

Why are people in the comments now arguing about how overweight or not the OP is? She asked for style advice not nasty comments on her body!

More helpful responses would have been around what other styles she might consider if posters felt this wasn’t a flattering look, not dragging her body through such online scrutiny.

OP I love the flower one but am less fond of the one with strips. Try some brighter colours if you’re conscious of skin tone. But as others have said, the main thing is how you feel in them

corblimeyguvnr · 04/04/2026 13:07

People saying she was asking for style advice.. I think she said " do these look really bad?" and " do I look really bad in these?" . That's not asking for style advice. She knows she is overweight as she said and she is asking do these suits look bad on her because of that. The suits lack definition and support so yes they look bad. The black and white which is better does show her belly off but hey we all or most of us have a belly.

MidnightMeltdown · 04/04/2026 14:00

No, they don’t look bad, but personally, I think a longer top would look better. These are cutting you off at the widest part. You don’t want to feel self conscious when bending over etc.

bridgetreilly · 04/04/2026 20:27

You are beach body ready! Take that body to a beach asap.

VK456 · 04/04/2026 20:52

They suit your figure really well, so no. They don’t look bad on you!

Charalam · 04/04/2026 21:22

Love the floral one. Both are great on you.

HardyEustace · 04/04/2026 22:28

PeppyRoseBeaker · 05/04/2026 09:10

Some very odd posts lately and rather missing the mark given what OP has posted in her updates.
