I use my hair straighteners

sociableintrovert123 · 23/03/2026 11:39

I use hair straighteners too. I’ve tried various tongs and curling rods over the years and always go back to my GHDs. Loads of videos on YouTube explaining the method.

Another vote for hair straighteners

ForPinkDuck · 23/03/2026 11:41

Put it in a bun when damp. When dry finish with straighteners.

A vote for hair straighteners! You can also try a no-heat method. Loose braiding slightly damp hair before bed, two loose braids gives you softer/more natural waves while three or more braids gives you more defined ones.

Hair straighteners here too

I've bought all kinds of curling implements in the past but just go back to those.

Babyliss wave secret

Maybe you could try the TYMO Rovy Compact! It gives really nice, fluffy waves instead of flat ones. After styling, you can brush it out with a wide comb and it’ll look much more voluminous. I have medium-length hair too, and I find the compact size super easy to use and not too heavy at all.

TYMO hair deep waver ROVY COMPACT delivering long-lasting deep waves

Get effortless waves with the TYMO Rovy Compact automatic hair curler. Just wrap and release for natural-looking texture and volume.

Hair straighteners followed by a good texturising spray

DinoLil · 27/03/2026 07:35

Have a baby - made my hair curly! 😆

This, kinder than heat

Daughters uses those from Amazon. Easy to sleep in and good effect

Me too! 30 years of using straighteners for curls, then bought these a few months ago. So quick and easy, and love the shape of the curls it makes.

Amazing isn’t it! Will be doing mine later for date night

CaseClosedWineOpened · 27/03/2026 10:40

Tymo curl pro and then brush through with a wide tooth comb to get waves

FriedFalafels · 27/03/2026 10:44

I started using a heatless curler to bed nearly 2 years ago and it changed my life. I do use a curling product whilst damp too.

I pull it out my hair in the morning and I’m good to go - no messing or faffing

FruAashild · 27/03/2026 10:48

Put your hair in rags overnight. Probably need some gel if you have naturally straight hair.

mochimoons · 27/03/2026 11:39

I also bought this and it's brilliant!

Trainup · 27/03/2026 12:35

Lots of adverts for Tymo here - a brand I’ve never heard of before. Feels a bit suspicious! Or is it really a miracle brand?

Kaybee50 · 27/03/2026 12:39

another vote for this! It’s amazing. I curl my hair with it and the waves last until my next hair wash. I’ve tried very other curling device and this is the best!

FlibbertyGibbitt · 27/03/2026 08:30

I do this, but I just use a pair of sports socks or a bathrobe belt, no need to buy the foamy thing

Tink3rbell30 · 27/03/2026 13:13

I use a curling wand. Can never get it to work with straighteners.

I bought a curl pro plus for my daughter for Christmas and it is excellent, she has very long thick hair and keeps the curl for days. It is the only thing that has curled my hair and it has stayed in past a few hours
