I think you are right as the value adds up, I may take one for the team and place an order and report back.

My children gave me a bottle of MZ Skin Bio-Placenta Stem Cell Serum for Mother’s Day (they know me so well) 🤣

I was so excited to try it out but even the tiniest smear stayed on my skin, really tacky and I woke up with my pillow stuck to my face.

It is lovely and my skin is so soft but I have to apply it after dinner, so it’s dry by midnight.

Could just be me but I thought I would mention it, an edit is a good way to sell a lot of sticky product.

Dior bronzer opened and tried!

The packaging is a divine, a thing of absolute beauty- elegant, delicate, fun- just stunning. The bronzer is nice, blends beautifully. I bought the coral shade and may end up going back for the pink (or buy some Guerlain meteorites to layer with this- I do like a bronzer with multiple tones).

The coral is very warm - terracotta rather than peachy, the flowers have the same undertone as the bronzer. I think the pink would contrast more and suit me better right now- brown hair, blue eyes, neutral skin tone (cooler in winter/spring, warmer in summer/autumn). I’ll wear this later in the year.

Does anyone remember the Benefit GALifornia blush? This was my favourite ever blush but was discontinued. It was a pink, coral, gold combination. I’m looking and thinking the YSL restless rose might be a good replacement. Anyone tried it?

I’ve just been back on the Dior website and I have to say, the bronzer received is not much like the one pictured. It’s much flatter, very little sparkle, no gold tones to spot at all. I’m actually quite disappointed in the product (but not the packaging!). I’ll be interested to see if this is the case for others too.

TragicMuse · 02/04/2026 14:15

I never really know how to use bronzer. Or blusher, come to that. I feel like I have pinkish cheeks already so applying something to make them pinker always feels a bit hit and miss…

JoRaRaRa · 02/04/2026 14:35

My dior haul has arrived too. I'm in love! I'm going to wait and see what I think once some people online have swatched stuff. I feel like I've gone mad and should return at least one of the bronzers 🤣 the compact highlighter seems to have a bit of glitter in too, so I'm going to wait for swatches of that too as I don't want glitter. I have a few already like that.

The eyeshadow palette is stunning!! My lip gloss doesn't look the right colour but the packaging says it is. So that may go back.

Highlighter is the one that confounds me. End up looking like the tin man from wizard of Oz. Every time.

Oh god, YES! That too!

I’m in an eternal battle against shiny face, I want matte and nicely pale, and highlighter is just deliberately shiny!

OvaHere · 02/04/2026 14:56

I'm now on holiday and despite travelling to another country I've managed to buy stuff. 😂

Thanks to whoever it was for the heads up about the MBM palette. It was OOS again by the time I'd looked. However I already decided I wasn't going to get it. I did place a small Sephora order at 5am but just got the MBM Skin Enhancer and Blush. I shall now try and ignore the existence of the sale.

Also bought a perfume in duty free (how can you not??? 😂). Chloe Atelier Plage du Figuer. I really liked it when I got a CB sample of it. It was also on offer so paid about £80 (usually £115). The Sous de Pins (sp?) from that range is also v nice.

Thanks for the heads up on the FTF mystery box. I love the MZ serum so I took a chance and ordered 2. FTF can sometimes take a while to send out and factoring in the BH I might be home or nearly home by the time it arrives.

Wow. That's quite the haul. It's very pretty but I can tell it's all too warm toned for me.

@OvaHere and anyone else who uses the MZ serum, do you only use it at night? I have lots of decree to use and I'm really pleased with it so far (although having a today break!). I'm useless at knowing what to use when! Ideally I wanta miracle product to use alo gside the decree either layering or during the day

Yes the last one I had I used it at night. To say it was 50 ml I did get through it fairly quickly but I am a generous applier of serums and often use on the neck and chest too.

Yeah, I do think it is all warm toned. I'm hoping so anyway. I'm going to wait for reviews before swatching any of it. It's too expensive if it's not right 🤣

I haven’t used that MZ serum yet but the description says to use morning and evening so I guess you could use it as a daytime serum

I think you could use it for both.

I've just had notification my order has shipped. Typical. They usually take a while. Will have to warn DS about that as well as the Sephora parcel. 😳

I use the Medik8 C Tetra in the morning, the MV after dinner and the Decree at bedtime.

I’m lucky that it seems to work for me at the moment, but if they change my biologic again, I’ll have to go back to the beginning again.

LoveLabradors · 02/04/2026 17:19

@Addictedtobeauty I have the restless rose. Jury is out for me. Finding it a little orange even with my holiday tan! I don’t love it as much as nude lavalliere, I’m delighted with that.
@BlueLimes @Doglover73 I have the Zoeva metallic emerald and love it. It’s been a holiday staple for tropical nights. I also have the khaki too. I really recommend the metallic azure blue as well as the sapphire. Gorgeous colours. If they included a smudger on the other end they would be perfect. They are better than my VB ones which smudge and don’t go on as well.

@BakeOffRewatch Allies of Skin products are 25% off at CB, plus an extra 10% if you're a gold member, which is the best deal I've ever seen on them.

i bought a trial size kit of the firming cream and GF serum with 20% off and the £10 voucher last week, I'm going to try them now and buy the full sizes if I like them.

Thank you so much for remembering me and @‘ing me! I haven’t caught up with the thread in days. I just finished the 20ml Allies of Skin Daily Firming Treatment today, so it lasted about 3.5 weeks of using once per day. I have a couple of other moisturisers I need to get through including a LaNeige Water Bank which is another favourite, and I’m going to see if my skin changes back and if it’s really all down to the AoS.

The LaNeige is £33.50 for 50ml, the AoS is £119 for 48ml, so it’s quite a steep jump to make it a regular part of my routine! I kind of don’t want it to be that, especially as I’ve already committed to the pricey Reome Broth serum. And one of my aims for the year was to Boots-ify my routine… but between Dermalogica Ultra Calming Cleanser, Reome Broth serum, AoS Daily Firming Treatment and Dermalogica Night Coccoon gel my skin is the best it has been in my life.

SunnyPinkMoose · 02/04/2026 17:52

I love the MX bio serum I use it the morning before the decree AM . I’m not so bothered about the moisturiser though . It really was a game changer in terms of upping my game serum wise . And my heart sunk when u saw the price . But I managed to get one reasonably priced on Vinted . I really do hope it’s in the mystery FTF . @JoRaRaRa it’s a real talent you have 🤣

Let me know what you think of the AoS trial kit!

I used both the GF serum and the firming cream yesterday and my skin was a tiny bit red & irritated by the evening. Today I used the GF serum only and no irritation and I love the tightening effect especially on my forehead so I've ordered that from CB with 35% off (still £118!!). Tomorrow I'll try just the firming cream to check if I get any irritation, but like you I have loads of other moisturisers to get through so I'm less inclined to buy it. I also love laneige water bank by the way!

The trial kit also came with their hydrating cleanser but it has vitamin c in which I'm avoiding for now, so I probably won't try it yet.

BlueLimes · 02/04/2026 19:04

@LoveLabradors thanks so much for posting about these a few threads ago - they’re a complete find. I really want the emerald now too 😊

I really like the AoS GF serum, the day firming treatment, the peptide eye cream and the Vit C.

I didn't like the night treatment, it's very thick and I wasn't keen on the smell although it did perform okay- thinking about it it's probably similar to the Elemis Night Matrix I mentioned yesterday.

I've also got the cleanser from an edit which I haven't used yet.

35% is a great discount but I just bought 2 of the FTF boxes for (hopefully) the MZ serum so I really need to walk away.

Emma Lewisham is also on 25% off with extra 10% for Gold. From that range I can recommend the Supernatural Elixir - that's a really nice serum. Again tempted but I've spent more than enough today.

I need to remember that Easter weekend has good deals when planning future hols. 😂

Edit: I've just remembered I'm using at home at the min the Dermalogica Pro Collagen Banking serum I got from an edit somewhere and it smells a lot like the AoS GF serum. I've kept meaning to look up whether they are similar in composition at all.

I’ve not tried any of The Ordinary but I do love the bottles, very lab inspired.

Do you use them and if so, what would you recommend? 😊
