Looking to buy good quality flip flops that comfortable and do not break easily

Hi all,

I am looking for some good quality flip-flops to wear around the house and for occasional walks outside. I normally buy cheap flip flops but the straps always end up breaking, hence why I want to invest in some best quality ones.

I don't mind wearing mens flip flops if they are prone to lasting longer, but comfort is very important to me.

Thank you

Rocket Dog but only the ones with the cloth toe-posts.

Archies, havaiana, Ipanema or fit flop flip-flops would be my top 4 for quality and comfort (not really in order although i probably would put Archie’s 1st!)

I love my Archies. I've had them for several years and they're still going strong.

I bought Archie’s last year! Love them! They also had a “buy and try” offer at the time on their website - 90 days return for your money back if you weren’t happy after wearing them. Worth checking if they still have something similar

I wear non branded orthopaedic flip flops from Amazon. My last pair of these lasted well over 10 years and I only replaced them because they got lost in my house move. I wear them all summer and round the house in winter.
Mind you I just had a look and cant find them on there any more. I dont know what I'll do now 😫hopefully they will last forever.

Tonissister · 11/03/2026 03:16

I buy a brand called Surf on Amazon. I have two pairs and have worn them both for years, sometimes out and about all day long. No sign of either pair breaking yet. About £7-10. They also cure plantar fasciitis pain. Miracle flip-flops.

HiccupHorrendousHaddock · 11/03/2026 03:20

Crocs flip flops are very hard wearing.

GameOfJones · 11/03/2026 07:46

Have a look at a brand called Coface on Amazon. I have worn some of their sandals for the last three summers almost constantly and they're still in perfect condition. I bought them for the arch support and they're really comfortable. They currently have arch support flip flops on sale for about £15. Or the two strap ones I wear for around £25.

Calypsocuckoo · 11/03/2026 08:07

Definitely Archie’s, I had plantar fasciitis so could not wear normal flat flip flops but I can wear these.

Squirrelchops1 · 11/03/2026 08:08

Another vote for Archies. I have both flip flops and sliders from them.

GreyRooted · 11/03/2026 08:14

Another vote for Archies. I live in them. I’ve got pairs that have lasted for years. I’ve just bought a new black pair but only because I got paint on my old ones - I could kick myself because the old ones were still in great condition.

I also had plantar fasciitis before these and now I never have an issue.

nextchapterplease · 11/03/2026 08:18

Archie’s ! Mine are at least 5 years old and I live in them in summer. Might get a new colour this year .

Wendywooooo · 11/03/2026 08:40

I've had a couple of pairs of Fit Flops, by far the hardest wearing one's i've had, wear them a lot in summer, first pair lasted a very long time compared to most, second still going strong after a good few years too.

Playing with the idea of buying a new pair, not because the current ones are on the way out, but more for the colour choices

I discovered Archie's last year and have been really happy with them. Bought them in beige and lemon shades. They're not cheap, but they are comfy and seem to be lasting better than my old cheap ones.

MadMumOfTwoHorrors · 11/03/2026 19:57

Have you looked at Gumbies? I have 3 pairs of their Islander flipflops and 2 pairs of their slingback sandals. They are so comfy and 2 pairs have lasted 6 summers already.

I also recommend Archie’s, they are the comfiest flip flops I’ve had

Mauvish1 · 11/03/2026 20:50

I bought some havaianas in 2009 and thought they were a bit pricey - but they're still going strong! And yes, they are very comfy!
