Looking to buy good quality flip flops that comfortable and do not break easily

Hi all,

I am looking for some good quality flip-flops to wear around the house and for occasional walks outside. I normally buy cheap flip flops but the straps always end up breaking, hence why I want to invest in some best quality ones.

I don't mind wearing mens flip flops if they are prone to lasting longer, but comfort is very important to me.

Archie’s. Hands down the best flip flops ever.

They are pricey but they are superb, and as the name suggests, have arch support so extremely comfortable.

I have about 5 pairs and won’t wear anything else now.

Fit flops! Helpful when I had bad plantar fasciitis and the same pair still going with practically daily wear several years on!

Very much recommend Havianas. My current ones are 5 years old and still look barely worn. Comfortable too.

I prefer sliders myself, mine are superdry

I did full on park days in Florida (lots and lots of walking) in FitFlops. Think I got them from John Lewis.

I'm glad you said this, I have some old crocs ones that are such good condition and so comfy to wear all through summer but I want to upgrade my flip flip game to something sexier but can't stop wearing my crocs flip flops (they don't look like crocs).

Do you wear them around the house? Also are there different versions or just one?

I wear them almost exclusively when the weather is better.

Two types. Typical flip flop style and a slider style (so don’t have these as not my cup of tea)

Do they fit true to size? I see on the website they say to go a size up. I am normally a size 9.

I’m a 5 to 5.5 and wear the size 5 and they’re a perfect fit

Ipanema, tkmaxx for big discounts. I bought some Archie’s , they kill my feet ..I cannot take two steps in them. Bought from vinted so now I’m wondering if they’re fake or if I have weird feet. They’re the only shoes I could not get away with. I find the high arch really painful.

Animal Swish are the best, no uncomfortable plasticky toe post. I think Rocket Dog stole the design looking at that previous post!

Leather Fit flops are amazing. Love mine

Reef - so long as they have a leather or fabric upper and ‘proper’ sole (not foam). I’ve had several pairs and loved them all. Need to check size to get them just right though (I’m usually a 4/37 but wear a 5 in Reef as it’s US size.

Currently have some Totes Solbounce and they’re v good too.

Fitflops - had before and v comfortable.

I have several pairs of croc thong type flip flops - had them at least 5 years

I’ve got a few pair of leather type fit flops but they squelch when I walk in them

Love my fit-flops and crocs, I walk for miles in them.

Havianas for me too, I find them very comfortable & they last for years.

I've got them in about 5 colours.

They aren’t the same quality as they were. They always snap. I do wear the crap out of them though as I live in Spain. Had to get a new pair every year due to snapping. Didn’t bother last year and just bought some cheap ones from Primark. They have lasted longer than the havianas do!!

I find Archies true to size.
