I’ve honestly never known anything like it. It’s taking me all my willpower not to swear in my responses as my frustration is building with every fob off reply 😵‍💫😅

I did think about social media but I only really do Facebook and I don’t follow pages like that on there. I tend to follow places like that on sites that I don’t really use because I’m not bothered about my newsfeed being clogged up with their stuff.

Boots have a few beauty boxes available, a couple I’ve not seen before, all reasonably priced.
I’m resisting as I have appox £60 credit but I can’t find my advantage card so don’t know my full card number 🙈 I’ll add that to my ever growing list of things to do (which I have time for, but spend it trawling the internet for more things to buy 😅)

I have had a few Next boxes, they tend to be good value. I'm going to see if they drop back down to £15 after mother's day.

JL MD box arrived yesterday and I’ve decided to send it back: on reflection there’s nothing in it that I really want, so the fact I had £60 vouchers burning a hole in my pocket is not a good enough reason to buy it.

Full disclosure: I’ve never owned any type of advent calendar. Additional detail: wrong religion, but I feel that I may have let that get in the way of a good thing…..

Edited to add: I think I’m in love with the medik8 retinol 6. Only used it a few times so far but seeing more impact than from anything else I’ve tried over the last few months. Also love the Elemis eye cream and the medik8 vit C. Am totally giving up on the KS serum, which doesn’t seem to bring anything to the party.

Also, have now sold 3 items in 24 hours on Vinted. Not making much money but it’s a great way to rehome unwanted items and makes me feel a tiny bit better about ongoing purchases!

@Fillybuster Did you move up from the Crystal Retinol 3? I’m using 3 at the moment, I can tolerate it every day now, and really excited to move up to the 6!

@namechange0998776554799000 i’m not sure what religion you follow but maybe you could buy one and keep it to countdown to something celebratory for you as most of them are not specifically Christmas themed. I remember when paperchase did a birthday countdown calendar a few years ago and I’m never quite sure what the 12 day perfume calendars are for. I open them in the new year if I can resist not opening them as soon as I get them! I don’t follow any religion but still love an advent calendar as a daily treat in the darkest month of the year.

@Beautyfox 12 days calendars are for the 12 days of Christmas 25th December to 5th January inclusive. Advent is the lead up to the 25th, and strictly speaking is fourth Sunday before Christmas to 24th.

@Thelifeofawife - I can’t remember exactly what I did, but they just sent me my digital card details after I passed their security check. It was a while ago, though. Good luck🤞

@Thelifeofawife I’ve also lost my card number before but they were able to track it down. Now it’s logged on the app and I have it in my digital wallet as I’m useless with physical cards. Which is just as well as I have £300 on there 🙈

They need to start doing a bloody summer advent calendar! I'm sure us lot would purchase them. (as in one you open in summer, not the summer releases for christmas looking at you Liberty and Harrods)
