Lookfantastic has opened up a physical store in Bristol, shop offering was ok ish but lighting and decor made it look a bit grey and depressing. Lots of bewildered boyfriends trailing behind excited girlfriends. They had a wall of pick n mix minis where you could get 6 products for 15 quid which was popular. Only gucchi 5ml sample was interesting, everything else looked like how they would choose a meh monthly beauty box. Few years ago that would be a great deal for my broke ass self but now thanks to mumsnet my taste and budgeting has improved.

Oh that’s disappointing. I was imagining beautiful glass bottles, velvet cushions, a flute of champagne and maybe a Persian cat or two. Possibly, I need a reality check 😂

I picked up the Prai neck cream today. I ordered two. I do genuinely need a neck cream after losing 4st recently and I don’t know why but I just don’t want to buy the Trinny one. Has anyone actually used theirs yet and have any comments on whether it’s nice or not? I’m not too bothered about it being sealed.

Mine turned up today ! Still not dispatched from ma holt though …

@JoRaRaRa - not a bad idea if you don’t want it. I was just really put off by the packaging.

I also noticed on the back of the box that it said the product was liable to ‘roll’, (I assume they meant ‘pill’), if over-rubbed or applied too thickly. I thought that was a really weird thing to have to warn people about and just thought ‘Nah, not for me’.

It’s a shame, because I really liked the Prai neck cream mini I had once, (and that didn’t ‘pill’, either).

I had it in the M&S advent calendar, I don’t like the smell. I’ve used it a couple of times at bedtime and noticed an improvement in lines. I don’t enjoy using it though. It’s a bit like creamy Vaseline.

I’m using a different one (Prai gold?) right now, the texture is a bit thick but I’m not finding it pills (I do it at night so might not notice). I also use their arm cream and that’s just lotion texture.

@ElizabethG81 @Puravida23 Thank you, I’ve picked up a couple of the Debenhams edits. I really like the Decree treat tincture so hoping I like the daytime one just as much

Interesting @BakeOffRewatch and @SheilaFentiman -I hope I don’t regret sending mine back because my neck would benefit from something that actually worked.

The Prai I had before was in a purple tube - I don’t know if the sparkly one was the same cream.

On a sort of related note: There was a small selection of sale skincare in M&S today but I was disappointed to see that a lot of it had been opened and some things had been stolen. The stuff wrapped in cellophane was untouched. Given the problems with people fiddling with stuff, I think all cosmetics and skincare should be sealed nowadays. Even just a small security seal would help - wouldn’t have to be the full plastic wrap.

My sparkly neck cream hasn’t pilled on my neck but the remains on my fingers after I’d applied it really did. In fact I moved application downstairs to the bathroom so I can immediately wash my hands after using it.

This is my current Prai, no idea why i bought the gold one!

Still waiting for my second Holt box 🐑 but my Cosmic brushes order arrived, thank you @OvaHere! The Winter Wonderland palette is perfect for DSis’ birthday to go with the earrings I bought her a while back, and the brush set (around £20) is nicer than the Wayne Gosse one from John Lewis, which was a massive disappointment and is on its way back there…

On which note: JL are running 20-30% price match discounts on a lot of beauty brands. AND additional discounts on the beauty crackers and a few other leftover xmas beauty bits. Annoyingly, I had finally decided to buy the Mother’s Day box after 2 weeks of hesitating, and now it’s out of stock online…..grrr!

2. I tried the Dr Levy mask tonight and quite liked it. Not sure it’s done much though. Definitely didn’t remove 10 years in 20 minutes.
3. I made a start on the Medik8 super 6 retinol last night. Only used a tiny bit on top of Bioesence oil. Skin was a bit red but settled after moisturiser. Am assuming I should wait a few days before using again?

I’ve gone for the Space NK gift as I needed to stock up on some regulars. I don’t particularly mind small sizes as long as there aren’t many duds!

I might get SNK but I’d regret if a Liberty GWP soon- but the recent ones have been rubbish. Decisions!!

Of course there’s another GWP just a few days after me splurging again! Thankfully I’m not drawn to it, it’s mostly things I already have and am yet to use, or things I’m not bothered about trying

I’ve also ordered the SNK GWP. I needed to stock up on some foot cream and was tempted by their just for you edit. I just can’t resist an edit combined with a GWP.

I think I'm going to skip. I've got vouchers so I could spend £50 and get the GWP but incredibly there's nothing I want to buy from SNK at the moment.

Looking at previous years the next Liberty GWP will be towards the end of April.
