My CB order has now been cancelled as well - the After Dark edit. Nothing I needed, it was just a payday treat but I am disproportionately annoyed!

My ysl restless rose blush has arrived. It’s very warm indeed, quite orange in the pan. I’m hoping will work with a tan as wouldn’t suit me with current late winter paleness. I think this was less of a good impulse buy than the nice lavalliere which I just adore. I wish I’d not ordered it and waited for the CB Gucci blush bonanza and the fresh coral shade. But then again cult beauty can’t actually manage to deliver to me, I’m going round in circles with them about my missing radiance edit. Their customer service is shockingly bad. But I’m still mourning the missed Gucci blush opportunity 😂

I'm the same, I was googling about advent calendars and came across the AC thread, I lurked for a few days and then signed up, realising that I'd found my people 🤣 It also really helped me when going through an awful time, we can't possibly step away now. Eventually I found this thread and haven't stopped spending since 💁🏻‍♀️

That's a great idea to have a swear box. He'd then be funding my future purchases. Although, it's always me who has cash, so I'd probably end up lending it to him 🙄🤣

I'm not sure if gold status helped with these orders. I'm not gold, I don't think I'm even bronze status, but mine have already arrived this morning.

I saw someone on insta using ysl restless rose and it looked really nice 😍 I'm tempted to buy it myself. I bought 2 bright pinks yesterday plus there's the saie blush in the CB ac, so I don't feel I need the ysl fuschia fizz anymore. Although it does have sparkles in, so I might change my mind if a good offer comes up. I'm looking forward to trying the gucci later, but I'm a bit worried as the ysl ones seem perfectly pigmented for me and I think I might get frustrated with building up the gucci.

I lurked through the advent calendar threads and am just dipping my toe into joining in now @Doglover73. I do have a strict budget each month and stay away from credit cards so my spending doesn't get too out of hand. It does mean I miss out on some bargains though. Im determined to try for the Harrods fragrance advent calendar this year so Im saving myself for calendar season 😅

@JoRaRaRa I am hoping if i revisit it in summer it will be right then. I tan easily but go really quite pale by late winter. I hope you like your Gucci blushes!
@TragicMuse I think what irritates me with CB discount code drama is that clearly some “important” customers get huge discounts all the time and us ordinary paying customers are not deemed fit for it apart from if it is accidentally leaked out. And even then CB are obviously desperately trying to cancel orders where they can. It goes to show what a huge mark up there is on beauty and make up and also how much ordinary customers paying full price prop up the handpicked few who have the 40% codes at their disposal. CB should have the good grace to honour all the orders and recognise that all custom is value. Rant over 😆

Has anyone tried The Lay Flat Co. makeup bags? I have a few trips booked this year and they look like they may be great for travel.

Ive got one, its really handy for travel because I used to have to tip the whole lot out with my old bag or spend ages scrabbling in the bottom. You can get quite a lot in it, its got a handy inner zip and wipes clean quite easily.

Also - sorry I’m full of questions today - any recommendations for products to take flyaway hair? I seem to have a lot of broken hair strands. I’m blaming the 2 yo.

@user593 Ive got a box bag. I like that I can leave it open wherever I am without having to decant stuff as Im terrible for misplacing items or packing everything to come home and then realising I've left a lipstick somewhere.

@LoveLabradors I have been using the YSL restless rose the past couple of weeks and I really like it. I have pale skin but it looks fine, I sometimes add a ‘white’ highlighter over it if I want to tone it down a bit for work.

I think it will look great when I have a bit of a tan or fake tan.
