I have a fab pair of pleather trousers, been going for years. Don’t look cheap in any way.

I don’t want to pay out significantly more for leather when this suits me just fine! I’ll pay for leather in shoes however, because that’s what I like.

But it’s good to hear a range of views, I’m assuming those who diss other peoples tastes are some kind of experts in fashion who we would need to defer to….do feel free to post the rest of us mere mortals some pics of your outfits so we can all have a good laugh swoon in awe of your sartorial superiority….

Fwiw I don’t mind fake leather skirts, but really, really hate faux and real leather trousers.

For those commenting on the collar/drawstring that they don't like - I saw an influencer wearing this Uniqlo one... a bit less 80s style. I was tempted but not keen on the double denim look for myself so decided not to buy. (Sorry M&S buyers if I've derailed your thread 😅 - only joking OP!)

Totally agree. I bought a pleather jacket from Desigual.
It was fabulous ( I got loads of compliments), until it wasn’t. Four years later it started peeling. There was nothing I could stop, repair or fix it with unlike leather.

How plasticy is the collar? I like the look of it, but I would like it better with real leather.

I wouldn't touch M&S now - it all looks great online but in store it is plastic tat.

I saw it in the store yesterday and it did look really nice. The collar felt very soft and not plasticky at all.

@BananaWoman999 My mum has that one & it looks nice on her. It’s an easier shape to pull off then the M&S one I think.

Lots of their stuff is shite but it’s not true that it’s all plastic. The summer ranges often have some decent linen and cotton.

Oh gosh, denim jackets aren't my thing but that Uniqlo one is beautiful. The pleating at the back makes it.

Or have you considered that people don't want to wear leather or suede?
It is nothing to do with price .
I wear non leather and it is not sweaty .
I don't give off Kat Slater vibes unless I wear leopard print .

So accept people have choice .
