Thanks @Doglover73 and @IDontHateRainbows I just looked it up and it looks nice, not even that orange but it maybe looks more orange in real life! I might try to track some down to try.

The Decree tincture has retinol in, correct?

I haven't bought the FTF box because I've only just started retinol and I'm working my way up the medik8 ladder. I'm still only on 1 and already have a 3 and several 6s to move onto, so I think it will be a long time before I consider any other retinol products.

Fillybuster · 01/02/2026 19:41

JoRaRaRa · 01/02/2026 19:20

I wouldn't stack these 2 products. The rodial booster drops are best for mornings to plump and hydrate the skin for the day. Decree Treat Tincture is more of a treatment serum and works best at night. It helps with texture, congestion, uneven tone and breakouts over time, so it’s more about long term skin improvement.

I think your night time routine sounds fine. Maybe just use the oil at the end of your routine if you feel your skin needs a bit more hydration.

Thanks! Tempted by the Decree as my Fig 1 is nearly finished.

If you look a few posts back I posted a picture with me wearing it. Happy to post some swatches on Wednesday when I am back.

AndeanFlamingo · 01/02/2026 20:02

@MrsBnow12 It looks lovely on you, thanks for sharing. I actually think it might not be orange enough for me from your picture. I'm paler than you but warmer toned. If you do have time to post some swatches, at some point, that would be great.

OvaHere · 01/02/2026 20:21

Welcome @Fillybuster nice to have you here.

I survived Trafford. I did not buy any skincare, make up or perfume. Go me!

I did buy some Morphe travel brushes and a very expensive jacket. Oops, oh dear.

I actually wore the D&G palette posted upthread today. It's beautiful, even my friend noticed and she's not much of a make up person.

I smelt a lot of fragrance and have 4 new 'wants'. Penhaligon's Babylon, Initio Atomic Rose, Maison Crivelli Cuir Infrarouge and MFK Oud Satin Mood.

@OvaHere Which D&G palette do you have? I'm considering the brown one but just wondering if the colours are as warm-toned as they look in the pictures (I want them to be warm!)?

IlovePond · 01/02/2026 20:45

@MrsBnow12 - thanks for the pic of you wearing the Lucky - it looks a lot less orange than in the packaging, (it looks really nice on you), so I am going to give it a whirl.

@Doglover73 - your dogs are lovely. Mine is wet, smelly and grumpy atm after his walk in the rain, (bit like DH 😹)

I have all three. 😂

Yes I would say they are warm but not heavily so - I'm neutral to cool toned but I can still wear these. The one that seems to be sold out everywhere is the very cool toned one. The pinky one is also lovely but the other two are probably my favourites. Surprisingly I've ended up enjoying the brown one more than the cooler toned one which was my first choice. I bought the other two purely because I loved the formula so much. It's very flattering on mature eyes.

OP posts:
OvaHere · 01/02/2026 21:04

@AndeanFlamingo I just tried to take a photo of all three but I can't get an accurate photo in this light. They all look paler and more washed out than they are. If you like I can try in natural light tomorrow.

My no-spend month was a bust!

I had a k-beauty set from Boots, some Milk Whipped Cream hair mousse from Vinted, a gorgeous bag from Vinted, trousers, top and jumper from Primark, an hourglass mascara from SNK, a can of YSL Rive Gauche - but that’s a birthday present from my mum so she’s sent me the money for it.

And my Liberty BD box and monthly one from Look Fantastic…

3/10, must try harder!

For those asking about the Sweed blush from the edit, here is a picture of me with it, think my comment to my friend was it is more scary in the packaging.
I am away but can post some swatches on Wednesday.

It looks lovely on you! You look great! This look is what I’m always trying to achieve

Doglover73 · 02/02/2026 08:39

@IlovePond
🥰
They are wet and smelly as well. Older 2 love water, dirtier the better. 😕
Pup had a bath other day and wasnt impressed. 🤣

Oh i tried the decree last night. My face did look a bit red after an hour but it is reactive and sensitive. No irritation.
This morning my skin is lovely and soft and smoother. Tbh it always reacts well first time and I then rush out and buy the whole range. 🤣
Then not so much. 🤷
But so far so good. Ill have 4 when ftf arrives, hopefully. Now what to do with all my other retinol products 🤔🤔

AndeanFlamingo · 02/02/2026 10:02

@OvaHere Yes please if you can but no worries if you can't get a good picture :)

JoRaRaRa · 02/02/2026 10:33

I had a little fun shopping my stash this morning 💃🎉 I’ve picked out the Valmont day cream from the Harrods ac to use next. It feels really hydrating on the skin but I was expecting the texture to be more buttery (similar to Clé de Peau’s moisturiser). It does absorb beautifully and feels really comfortable so far. I haven’t tried it under makeup yet, so I’m curious to see how it performs. Hopefully it keeps my skin hydrated all day.

I finished my Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream last night, so tonight I’m moving onto Medik8 Advanced Night Restore. And I’ve pulled my Medik8 Peptides serum from the SpaceNk ac to the front of my stash (for now 👀) to use as my next day serum once Orveda is finished. Fully reserving the right to change my mind though 💁🏻‍♀️😁

I now get to pull some things out of my backup to backups box to go into my backup drawer 🥰

I think is is a fairly good representation. They are a shade richer IRL but this is more or less accurate I'd say. Although that's not taking account of how it looks on whatever device your viewing it on, which I can't see obvs.

I think the brown palette is neutral/warm rather than very warm which is probably why I can wear it comfortably. If you want very warm there's richer tone brown palettes than this one. The first shade on the bottom left is the warmest tone.

@OvaHere Thank you so much for this. I would say that the only colours I could comfortably wear are the bottom left one, that you've pointed out, and the middle one, so you've just saved me from an unnecessary purchase :)

If anyone ever sees the new Elemis cleansing mousse on offer/on sale somewhere that does offers please tell me. My current cleanser is going to run out soon and I really want to buy it (tried a sample in store and it's lovely) but I refuse to buy anything full price any more!

The only place I can find it for sale other than Elemis (where it's excluded from any promotions) is John Lewis, so I'm hoping at some points they'll give me a 20% off beauty offer.

John Lewis were clearly reading this thread because they've offered me £10 off skincare - not sure if everyone will get that or if the rewards are individual

The pictures make them look darker then they actually are. I've just done a day then night look with the browns palette and definitely could go lighter for day and darker for night. I used 4 of the shades for day time and then all of them for the evening look. They are so soft and easy to blend. Very beautiful!! 🤎

Thanks. It's the coolness that won't work for me, I need really warm colours or I look like one of the undead. Wish it hadn't taken me literally decades to figure this out 😂

Think it might be individual as I’ve £10 off womenswear 🤔

I have not tried the D&G palette yet but would highly recommend looking at the Lancôme Idole Cafe Crush one, it is beautiful and blends well along with the Viseart ones.

Colours are tricky aren't they? My first instinct was to describe this palette as warm but then I thought about it and realised it's really just my idea of a comfortably warm brown palette for my complexion and in reality is more neutral with a touch of warm. I think the Rose is similar with the grey one being truly cool which is why I like them all so much.

It took me until last year to realise I have neutral/cool undertones. Now I understand this I do a lot better especially with foundations and tints.

Good suggestion. I haven't played with that properly yet. It's beautiful but I'm not sure how it will work out for me yet. It might suit @AndeanFlamingo well.

This could be a nice one too.
