Hotel wedding. DP's colleague.

I was thinking big silver jewellery.

It’s not going to offend anyone but it’s a bit work wear looking.

It's ok, but that's all it is. It's pretty drab, and the fabric is quite casual. It's not inappropriate, but it's not nice IMO.

This. It is quite alright but it does remind me of a pyjama set to be perfectly honest…

Onemorechristmas · 16/01/2026 09:35

It’s horrible. Boring, cheap and nasty. Will you go to more weddings? Do you plan to buy an outfit each time? If so, work out what you’d spend on each, combine it all, and spend on a single, nice outfit . You can definitely do better than this

silver boots, massive silver earrings, and maybe a white jacket? Nehru collar, fitted, Napoleon style? Or a furry short jacket? Pushed up sleeves, big silver bangles?

Yes!

I have a similar jumpsuit that I wear to weddings, but it has cream polkadots on the grey and it totally elevates it.

I agree OP will need to go very extra with the accessories

onetrickrockingpony · 16/01/2026 09:41

I would only wear this to work.

Shellythesnail2333 · 16/01/2026 10:01

It’s very safe, and the colour is drab. Silver jewellery will jazz it up, though, agreed. Is it available in another colour?

or else if you want a jumpsuit there’s definitely more ‘wedding guest’ friendly ones out there

GloriaMonday · 16/01/2026 10:06

It's drab and cheap looking, and the model is tall and wearing a size 8 and it does nothing for her.

IceIceBabyBump · 16/01/2026 10:43

Thanks for all your feedback. I was a bit concerned about the colour so you've confirmed what I thought.

I love the style but I need a brighter colour.

I have a lovely one should jumpsuit but its dark green so better for winter which is annoying.

I'd like a jumpsuit but not looking to spend much 😂

Yes too drab. It’s your day to be the star of the show. I’ve recently been putting my wedding outfit together which is also in a hotel this summer. It’s our second marriages but I’ve opted for an elegant ivory Columbia dress but fitted and not too princessy! At least i know I’ll be the only one in that colour!
if you want to keep the cost down, try Vinted. There are new or only once worn dresses that have been professionally drycleaned for a fraction of the price. Good luck.

Morepositivemum · 16/01/2026 11:49

I think it looks great to be honest!

Oh no, I worry now that I've misled people.

I'm a guest not one of the people getting married 😳

No, don’t worry. “DP’s colleague” made it clear imo.

Edited

I just re-read my OP and spotted that 😆

Hopefully people don't think I'm in a weird polyamory situation and marrying DP's colleague. All very beige, boring and vanilla here.

It doesn’t look good on the model which is concerning.

No lol, the reaction would have been far more severe if you'd given the impression you were the bride 😂

I think your dark green jumpsuit sounds ideal tbh, yes dark green is nice in winter but it still works in spring/summer.

minipie · 16/01/2026 12:13

I think the dark green jumpsuit will be great. Maybe add something springlike like pale yellow earrings/clutch.

Comefromaway · 16/01/2026 12:29

It's lovely but I agree that it looks more like office wear

IceIceBabyBump · 16/01/2026 12:30

Here's the dark green jumpsuit

I love the dark green and as you say it would be perfect for winter.

I also love the tiles.

Daisywhatsyouranswer · 16/01/2026 12:34

The dark green is perfect, go with that,

I’m genuinely bemused how you think thr op is getting married and wants to wear thay grey jumpsuit 😂😂😂

RonnSeall · 16/01/2026 12:36

Love your green jumpsuit, looks fab on you and it’s MUCH nicer than the grey one (which I think looks a bit thin with a strange crotch area!)

wishingonastar101 · 16/01/2026 12:43

Nightmare when you need a wee...

IceIceBabyBump · 16/01/2026 12:44

@wishingonastar101 I wear a lot of jumpsuits. I'm an absolute professional at dealing with needing the loo in one 😂
