I have become addicted to Trinny London

Trinny’s fb videos are just so convincing.

I am currently awaiting three separate deliveries because I keep seeing something else I feel I must have.

I don’t do other social media or watch tv with adverts so are other brands are just as beguiling?

I couldn’t resist the elevator neck cream and the miracle blur to name but two of my numerous purchases.

Hoping I haven’t wasted my money on clever marketing without substance but won’t be surprised if that turns out to be the case.

I got one of her foundations I can’t remember the name now but found it so highly fragranced so couldn’t wear it

PInkyStarfish · 01/01/2026 18:23

I wanted to like her products but sadly they were over hyped.

I bought a stack and sold it on. I didn't like it.

I bought three bottles of her skincare too. I used them all, was tempted to rebuy ONLY because the refills were cheaper but in the end never repurchased.

Whenever I see her counter in the store, its devoid of customers.

From looking at her Instagram, she seems to market for the older woman who isn't interested enough to shop around. I'm early 50s but am interested in make up and skincare so guess I'm not her market.

ZookeeperSE · 01/01/2026 18:33

Hope it works for you. Didn’t for me. I’ve only got these from advent calendars or other promotions though rather than buying them purposely. One of the face creams left my face burning and red. A ‘shimmer’ blush (which isn’t shimmery at all) is so thick and claggy it’s impossible to smooth over the skin. And an admittedly lovely green eyeliner was so hard and unblendable it dragged my eyelid skin so much to make it unusable.

YouOKHun · 01/01/2026 18:37

@TrendingthreadI think so.

MulberryPeony · 01/01/2026 18:42

I love the lip 2 cheek that I actually use on my cheeks and eyes to be honest. I prefer the crème consistency. I also really rate the tinted foundation - the name escapes me (white tube). Late 40s and savvy with skincare. Often feel overdone with proper makeup.

luckylavender · 01/01/2026 18:42

I couldn’t buy anything from her line. She’s such a horrible person.

TheKateColumbo · 01/01/2026 18:50

I have the bff cream that I love and will definitely buy again, I also bought a tiny pot of the elevator but don’t like the smell so I don’t really use it.

RedApplePie · 01/01/2026 18:57

I actually love (and use!) lots of her stuff. I can be seduced by brands so I’ve probably tried a fair few over the years, but keep coming back to her. Don’t care so much for the lipsticks, possibly because my lips are quite thin these days.

Goldleafcat · 01/01/2026 19:06

Ah see I’ll be apparently going against the grain here based on PP replies but I actually really love a number of her products! So hopefully you will too after all your purchases 😅

My favourites are Plump Up and Bounceback, I love how they feel and work with my skin (not all hyaluronic acid products are the same, I promise, I’ve tried simpler cheaper versions). See the Light is also a great moisturiser with SPF50. I like the BFF de-stress serum. Wasn’t too keen on the BFF All day - a bit too matte and drying for my skin personally. I’ve a few of the eye to eye shadows which are pretty and easy to apply but don’t necessarily last that long. I have the Trinity in Venice but again that doesn’t last that long either. The eyeliner is good.

TonTonMacoute · 01/01/2026 19:13

I like her stuff too. I had given up wearing make up but felt I needed to make an effort from time to time. The BFF is light and easy to apply, it makes a difference but it's not too much of a shock when I do put make up on. I've got a couple of the more neutral eye colours and some lip2cheek. I like the little pots that clip together.

WhiskyandWater · 01/01/2026 19:19

I am evangelical about Trinny London products. Love the skincare and now don’t use anything else on my face, and absolutely love the make up too. I can take or leave the eyeshadow and lipstick but the different bases, blushers and bronzer are perfect colours for me. I’m pretty savvy about skincare and her range works so well on my skin, mid 40s and happy to shop around and spend more but this works for me. I can happily venture out without any make up apart from mascara (sparse lashes a long term hangover from chemo hair loss) these days.
I have had two (free) make overs from the brand which helped with the base colour matching, one from a Liberty beauty bag and then they sent me a free one with a friend. I can’t recommend some of the products highly enough (cleanser and under eye concealer are my hero products).

Is she? She comes across pretty well on her insta videos.

rusyian · 01/01/2026 19:31

I’ve heard she’s a lovely person. And more pertinently I like her products and bought a few eyeshadows and lipsticks but have stayed loyal to another brand for bb cream and yet another for mascara.

Well she would

I like her from what she says on her Instagram. She seems very open and I have watched her on and off for years. I think it would be difficult to put on an act at 7am in the mornings.

That said the reviews on Glassdoor from her ex employees are poor but I don’t don’t why as I never delved into them. Maybe those sort of jobs attract difficult to ease employees. I don’t know.

Summerhillsquare · 01/01/2026 21:39

I like the miracle blur, eliminates the fine lines round my mouth.

Mmmkaay · 01/01/2026 21:42

The miracle blur is the one I want to try - any good for (a lot of) fine lines under eyes?

Firsttimemom3 · 01/01/2026 21:45

I quite like her skin care and make up

LorenzoCalzone · 01/01/2026 21:45

It's fun to try make up, enjoy it OP!

She seems like a nice person, but does it even matter, its gloop you shove on your face for an ego boost. She doesn't need to be Michelle Obama.

Sweetiedarling7 · 01/01/2026 22:04

Gosh! I have only just been able to come back and read the replies so am wondering what on earth could have been so controversial about this thread to spark comments needing to be deleted!

I have no idea about Trinny herself being unpleasant in any way. She comes across as very straight forward and no nonsense in her videos and I liked that.

Glad to see some people have found the products useful. I’m looking forward to unpacking my haul.

I’ve lost a lot of weight and steroids as part of cancer treatment had led to weight gain and my face looks rather saggy as a result.
Not expecting miracles but a bit of improvement would be wonderful.

doublec · 01/01/2026 22:33

Used to know Trinny somewhat professionally, she's great. Direct, which some might not like, but she's most certainly not a horrible person in the slightest.

Anyway OP, like you, I've been through cancer treatment. I did mean to go have a glow-up at Trinny's boutique on Kings Road mostly because pre-cancer, I never used much make-up and thought it might be a nice treat to try something new. In the end, I didn't go due to post-chemo fatigue, but I have recently purchased one of her blushers which I love. I also purchased the micro needle. For me, as I'm now post-menopause and post-chemo, I feel my skin needs some stimulation to generate some collagen. Am a few months in and am really pleased with it. Once I have used up the current serums I am rotating, will buy the one that Trinny makes that compliments the micro needle - mentioned by a PP upthread). A friend has one of Trinny's foundations which she loves.

I actually refused steroids during treatment, so can't really comment on that, but continue to drink lots of water and it's also worth buying a gua shu/looking how to do lymphatic drainage on your face and neck. This is great for skin tone. You will find you start to re-emerge and lost the cancer/chemo face, but it takes time.

Wishing you a good recovery and continued good health 💐

LaurieFairyCake · 01/01/2026 22:42

The skincare and BFF are fantastic
