I have become addicted to Trinny London

Trinny’s fb videos are just so convincing.

I am currently awaiting three separate deliveries because I keep seeing something else I feel I must have.

I don’t do other social media or watch tv with adverts so are other brands are just as beguiling?

I couldn’t resist the elevator neck cream and the miracle blur to name but two of my numerous purchases.

Hoping I haven’t wasted my money on clever marketing without substance but won’t be surprised if that turns out to be the case.

@Illegally18 I have accumulated a few over the past decade, and the one I use most regularly is this one. Haven't heard of the one you mentioned, and having looked at it, it's not something I would consider. But, that's just me!

@MylipstickiscalledHugMe

Trinny did start out as a stylist and style writer (as I am sure you know). She's been there done that, and probably didn't have any more to give - social media has been brilliant for showing people how to put outfits together, that has always been her main interest with regards to fashion. Trinny has a fuck ton of clothing and accessories and is constantly honing her own style. And while it is true Trinny has the most amazing knack for styling, proportions, and putting together outfits, that does not always lend itself to creating/designing. Also, she's always been interested in helping women look their best/make the most of themselves. Skin care and make up is a natural progression. It's always been something she's been passionate about. Her make-up range, the way much of it stacks together was about filling a gap/creating something that she couldn't buy.

Thank you!

Can you say more about how to use the miracle blur? I thought it might be good as a primer, but nope nope nope. Is it only useful if worn without make-up? Seems to make make-up settle into my lines, which really isn’t what I want.

I had to experiment with it a bit, but broadly speaking, on my late 40s skin -

I warm a tiny bit it up/soften it by rubbing between my thumb and finger and then smearing it on and patting it in for a blurring effect. I use it this way on a couple of areas where I want to improve the texture of my skin. I have slightly rough/bumpy patches on my cheeks either side of my nose that this works well for. I do it before applying foundation.

I use it without warming it up, when it’s still like a wax, and pat into fine ‘smoker’ lines around my lips and the edge of my lips - like a putty filler. I do this after foundation, let it ‘set’ for 5 mins, then pat in a tiny bit of concealer over the top. It helps lipliner go on smoothly and freshens up the look of my ageing lips.

As I said though, I’ve switched to Revolution Blur, for a fraction of the price.

I’d find it too greasy/waxy ( and the pot too tiny) to use as a primer.
