I have become addicted to Trinny London

Trinny’s fb videos are just so convincing.

I am currently awaiting three separate deliveries because I keep seeing something else I feel I must have.

I don’t do other social media or watch tv with adverts so are other brands are just as beguiling?

I couldn’t resist the elevator neck cream and the miracle blur to name but two of my numerous purchases.

Hoping I haven’t wasted my money on clever marketing without substance but won’t be surprised if that turns out to be the case.

Used to know Trinny somewhat professionally, she's great. Direct, which some might not like, but she's most certainly not a horrible person in the slightest.

Anyway OP, like you, I've been through cancer treatment. I did mean to go have a glow-up at Trinny's boutique on Kings Road mostly because pre-cancer, I never used much make-up and thought it might be a nice treat to try something new. In the end, I didn't go due to post-chemo fatigue, but I have recently purchased one of her blushers which I love. I also purchased the micro needle. For me, as I'm now post-menopause and post-chemo, I feel my skin needs some stimulation to generate some collagen. Am a few months in and am really pleased with it. Once I have used up the current serums I am rotating, will buy the one that Trinny makes that compliments the micro needle - mentioned by a PP upthread). A friend has one of Trinny's foundations which she loves.

I actually refused steroids during treatment, so can't really comment on that, but continue to drink lots of water and it's also worth buying a gua shu/looking how to do lymphatic drainage on your face and neck. This is great for skin tone. You will find you start to re-emerge and lost the cancer/chemo face, but it takes time.

Wishing you a good recovery and continued good health 💐

May I ask, did you buy any old gua sha, or a Hayou one?

TheOGCCL · 02/01/2026 00:39

I like Trinny but think her lines are overpriced and you can find better or just as good elsewhere, if you can be bothered to look. But they’re not bad.

LikeNoYeah · 02/01/2026 00:50

The miracle blur is pretty good once you get the hang of the different ways it can be used. Having said that, it’s expensive for a tiny pot, so I now use Revolution Blur instead - not quite as good, but decent and the difference in price swung it for me.

You have to bear in mind that her face is absolutely pumped with filler and Botox. It’s not her make up that makes her smooth and taut and shiny ‘dewy’.

Vestedinterest768 · 02/01/2026 00:55

Can I ask please; how do Trinny products compare with Jones Road?

Puddingpiper · 02/01/2026 01:32

I am a big fan of her products definitely suited to those who prefer light and natural make up it isn’t for those wanting a full glam. Also love all her skincare it is a bit spendy but I have not reacted to any of it including her retinal and vitamin C - which is really unusual for me.

also love her videos online and have learnt a lot from watching her styling ones

BoxOfCats · 02/01/2026 04:45

I just bought a lot of Trinny makeup last week, as I live nowhere near a counter but came across one while on holiday.
I own a lot of luxury makeup already and I was unexpectedly impressed. I wouldn’t use it for every occasion - if I had a proper special event I’d definitely use something else. But for casual / weekend makeup and travel it’s just perfect.

catpigeon · 02/01/2026 07:45

I got the neck thing and there's nothing good in the ingredients as a friend of mine is a chemist pointed out

AyeKarumba · 02/01/2026 09:39

luckylavender · 01/01/2026 18:42

I couldn’t buy anything from her line. She’s such a horrible person.

Why?

Edited

Can you say more about how to use the miracle blur? I thought it might be good as a primer, but nope nope nope. Is it only useful if worn without make-up? Seems to make make-up settle into my lines, which really isn’t what I want.

Puddingpiper · 02/01/2026 10:20

@PacificStateit isn’t my favourite product however best way I have found is to take a small amount, warm it up on the back of my hand then apply to skin - you need far less than you think.

PacificState · 02/01/2026 10:27

I think my problem might be that my elf putty primer does the same job as miracle blur, but better

TheMaidofOrleans · 02/01/2026 10:36

It is very overrated and the make up, esp the eye shadows and lip colour stuff in the pots dries up very quickly. She is a relentless advertising/ marketing genius.
I got some distress foundation and it was highly scented / very weird smell. I got a refund, no problem and the woman at customer services said many other people had said the same.

MylipstickiscalledHugMe · 02/01/2026 11:07

She's the most "can do" person I know of! I've followed her on instagram for years, all through the growth of Trinny London. Very uplifting person.

I haven't bought her products as I don't spend that much on makeup or skincare. I did buy her book, wouldn't recommend it.

I wish she'd gone into fashion or just accessories instead of makeup - her talent for colour and shape is actually phenomenal. She'll start an outfit, and I think that doesn't look right, then she'll adapt it and add things until it's absolutely perfect.

TartyTara · 02/01/2026 12:55

I love Trinny make up. I am the same as you OP and keep ordering after watching her videos. My latest purchase is Miracle Halo and I love it. I think she appeals to the 40 plus demographic of women with fairly good disposable income and wanting the no make up fresh look without faffing around trying too many products.
I have got the Elevator neck cream and not sure about it. Interested to hear from people who have tried more of her skin care and not just make up products.

Puddingpiper · 02/01/2026 13:24

@TartyTarai use majority of her skincare (apart from the elevator) is there any specific ones you want to know about?

TartyTara · 02/01/2026 13:44

@Puddingpiper - I am not a fan of putting a lot of products on my skin. I am a bit of a skincare minimalist, but I am wondering about her SPF and moisturisers. What’s your Trinny routine?

Puddingpiper · 02/01/2026 13:55

I’m a self confessed addict so use:

both cleansers (favourite is her gel one)
tip toe in exfoliant
find your balance exfoliant
boost up (very strong)
naked ambition
plump up (love this)
overnight clarity (love this)
both moisturiser’s
SPF in summer as a moisturiser- I don’t use factor 50 in winter (I’ll use her BFF if outside a lot in winter)
eye cream (love this)
take back time elixir (I don’t use this often, and have repackaged into a spray)

I prefer the heavier moisturiser (bounce back).

Ones I would replace constantly are:
plump up (tried a couple of alternatives and nothing matches)
find your balance
overnight clarity
bounce back
eye cream
SPF for summer

I love the cleansers but am going to try some cheaper ones to see if I like them as much.

growinguptobreakingdown · 02/01/2026 14:05

Her tinted foundation- silver tube- is great.I'm 53 and it suits my skin perfectly.

Yes I love it too, but do try the miracle halo. Amazing!! And her bronzers. Love them too.

Thanks for posting. That’s an impressive skin care routine. I did try her exfoliator as I got a sample and my skin felt amazing after which made me curious about the rest of her skincare. My skin usually don’t react well to very active ingredients, but I might try the mini pots to see how I get on.

lindyloo57 · 02/01/2026 14:46

I wish she went into fashion instead of make-up lotions, I expect she makes more money from it, I won't be bothering to buy any of her products, its all over priced and no better than you get from boots or superdrug.

catpigeon · 02/01/2026 15:04

@Puddingpiperare you ok? That's quite a list - are you a rl addict? It's bizarre

Puddingpiper · 02/01/2026 15:08

I got some extras in her sale. My broad routine is:

morning
cleanse
exfoliate
vit c
moisturise/eye cream

evening
cleanse (double if wearing make up)
retinal or exfoliate
moisturise and eye cream

I’ll use the plump up peptide 3/4 times a week

doublec · 02/01/2026 15:45

@Illegally18 I have accumulated a few over the past decade, and the one I use most regularly is this one. Haven't heard of the one you mentioned, and having looked at it, it's not something I would consider. But, that's just me!

@MylipstickiscalledHugMe

Trinny did start out as a stylist and style writer (as I am sure you know). She's been there done that, and probably didn't have any more to give - social media has been brilliant for showing people how to put outfits together, that has always been her main interest with regards to fashion. Trinny has a fuck ton of clothing and accessories and is constantly honing her own style. And while it is true Trinny has the most amazing knack for styling, proportions, and putting together outfits, that does not always lend itself to creating/designing. Also, she's always been interested in helping women look their best/make the most of themselves. Skin care and make up is a natural progression. It's always been something she's been passionate about. Her make-up range, the way much of it stacks together was about filling a gap/creating something that she couldn't buy.

I agree with you. I've noticed that now and then she's mentioned certain items and muttered "I'm tempted to make these" - like a belt she owns that goes with many outfits, or the shoulder pad tshirts - so not so much designing new things as making available useful things...

I'm interested where she'll go next, I bet she's thinking up a plan already :)
