No idea I'm afraid but I thought it looked silly. She has beautiful skin. I'd throw my gran off a bus for her skin.

Blouse Looks like this one

Kaninchen72 · 05/12/2025 22:08

She is truly beautiful. And clever and funny too. I may have a new crush

socialdilemmawhattodo · 05/12/2025 22:37

She was on the radio version of Room101 with Paul Merton. Saw it being filmed. She was great. Sadly the same filming had Victoria Coren Mitchell. It put me off her for life.

she certainly is!

MrsSkylerWhite · 05/12/2025 23:28

I bloody love her. Incredibly accomplished and very, very funny. Perfect comic timing. Could be a standup if she ever tires of academia. Would watch her if she wore a sack.
Ditto Lucy Worsley and the incredible Alice Robert’s.

EponymousEponine · 05/12/2025 23:28

Im a big fan of hers, she's brilliant on TikTok

MarshaMarshaMarsha · 06/12/2025 05:05

I recommend watching the final episode of this years “Portrait of the year” on Sky, as she was the person the winning artist did the commission for. She came across so well in it and the end portrait (in my opinion) was fantastic!

The artist herself was also lovely and they had such a good connection.

Personally, wasn't so keen on this of Hannah

as the Alan Cumming, Graham Norton or Sir Ian

Ah yes Alice Roberts, the scientist who doesn’t believe in biology.

Love Lucy and Alice!

Alice has worn some great tops on Digging for Britain but I really wish she’d retire the tight (camouflage pattern??) jeggings.

(This is the only purpose of women on TV, though - to give me ideas for shopping!🤣)

Soontobe60 · 06/12/2025 07:26

That blouse is going to be a bugger to iron!

Mixed feelings about the portrait. The artist was indeed lovely and I liked her paintings.

But many much better artists were rejected en route to the final. The judges’ choices were absolutely perverse in this series. I thought the portrait was fine but that commission could have been SO much better than just ‘fine’.😢

OMG it's the stuff of nightmares! with built-in granny pants! and so expensive!

BaronessBomburst · 06/12/2025 10:27

You could pin a massive flower on an existing blouse. It would be really easy to make one.

Former prof of public engagement of science, who will block you if you ask a pesky question about differences in male and female anatomy and physiology.

Oh they definitely chose some pieces through the series that made me question their judge status. But I do think she captured a great likeness, and their chemistry was great to watch too.

She was the subject painted by the winning artist in this year’s Portrait Artist of the Year as a commission for the Royal Society — I hadn’t really come across her as a personality before, though I knew who she was. She seemed clever and astute and warm, and the winning artist got on very well with her while making the portrait.

ETA — sorry, I didn’t see that other people were talking about this!

he Graham Norton one was absolutely superb. I was utterly knocked out by it!

Up there with Rembrandt!!! (OK, that might be going a bit far...)
