What cup size do you think this is? (not an obscene photo)

Hoping that the picture won't get blocked (it's just taken from the skims website). I am about to have a breast reduction for medical reasons and am struggling to visualise what the various sizes will actually look like - clearly I appreciate I'm not going to look like the model!!

In my head this is about a C?

Im trying to see what a B would look like. I'm a size 10.

Ive always worn a 34D in a stretchy bra

Im guessing that's been wrong Grin

I agree with PP – it's hard to know without knowing her height, but if she's a standard tall-ish (5'8) model, then her build is similar to mine when I was a 26F, an impossible size to find (I'm now a 28F, usually forced to upsize to 30E, but don't look that big.)

soreankles · 03/12/2025 09:00

I'm not sure it really matters as they have a different body shape and boobs. I'm a 34L but no one thinks I'm that big in the bra shops.

Why don't you put up a pic of your top half clothed

purpleme12 · 03/12/2025 09:00

She can't be bigger than 28 back.
But I find a lot of people don't have the back side they should do and have a bigger back size than they should. But the smaller the back size the more your boobs are lifted up and look better. But I guess that if you don't have big boobs that doesn't matter as much.

Westfacing · 03/12/2025 09:00

I'd say a D.

Wintersgirl · 03/12/2025 09:02

32C or D?

I speak as someone who had a reduction some 30 years' ago!

BobnLen · 03/12/2025 09:04

A B sounds quite small for a size 32 bra which is probably what you are.

DataColour · 03/12/2025 09:05

I'm a 28FF (although 26 band would be better but rarely available) and she looks similar to me.

80smonster · 03/12/2025 09:07

DD, not sure on band size but small 30/32.

doublec · 03/12/2025 09:10

That's more of less what I looked like pre-breast cancer/double mastectomy - 28F

Btw, either model has implants or they've taped her tits into that bra. Personally, I would ask your surgeon for images as they wouldn't be edited nor air brushed.

Yes! I think a lot of people go much too big on the band measurement. I'm 5'8 and 62kg, or size 10-12 in tops, with relatively broad shoulders, and I'm a comfortable 28 in bra bands. My elderly mum would've guessed I was a 34 at a glance. But the band is actually supposed to do most of the work, not the straps.

OneBadKitty · 03/12/2025 09:13

I'm a 34DD/32E and look similar in proporton to that (although of course a bit bigger all over) Size 12. Model looks like a size 6

An E cup is really not a large bust in reality.

user746016 · 03/12/2025 09:22

I think I'm even more confused than before..

I have realised Im almost certainly wearing the wrong size bra currently by a significant number of sizes

I think if you're a size 10, OP, then you might be able to go as small as a 28 band size – you want a bra to be really very snug on the biggest hooks when first purchased, but it should still be comfortable. It might be a good idea to try on some bras before your reduction just to get an idea of your real world band size.
A B cup for a size 10 would be really quite small, but also very practical I imagine!! Good luck with the reduction!

DataColour · 03/12/2025 09:32

Yes my 28FF doesn't look that big even on my petite frame. I used to be a 32D before I got measured properly.

LongOutBreath · 03/12/2025 09:35

I don't think it's helpful image for demonstrating size! The model has a tiny frame and a large space between her breasts, which makes their shape seem a little unrealistic. I'm guessing either there was some digital enhancement or it's a brallete with chicken fillets inside.

Stickthatupyourdojo · 03/12/2025 09:36

I’d also say around 28F. I’m petite with slightly on the generous side boobs. I’m a 30DD to E and she looks slimmer than me with slightly fuller boobs.

RMAC67 · 03/12/2025 09:36

It usually tells you in the product details what size and height the model is.

I just checked. Under ‘Fit & Fabric’

  • Sarah Is Size 2, 34B, And 5' 10” (178 Cm), Wearing SKIMS S

I would have thought larger too, but the other pictures of her side profile, she looks much smaller busted.

apparently this model is a 34 B (although skims website so US)

I agree that those are not standard/unedited boobs haha! I did think - how is that flimsy piece of fabric pushing her boobs up so much?

The website might say she's a 34B but she really is not 😂

Christwosheds · 03/12/2025 09:41

I have a very small frame, and at roughly her size, when I was thin, I wore a 28F
I had a 25” ribcage then, but a 28 bra was smaller than it is now. Dd is smaller than that model and wears a 28DD but measures 24’ around her ribs.
