Holland & Barrett Advent calendar opening

Following the general beauty Advent calendar posts, I wondered if anyone would like a H&B opening one? Usually post after 7am so no spoilers.

Was initially disappointed as I don’t take supplements like this. But looking it up, they have some good reviews so I’m considering taking. Currently £20.49 on their website.

Ooh, pleasantly surprised by today's item; not strictly a treat, but a nice thing for me that I wouldn't think to buy for myself. I think my skin really needs it too! Side note: my skin hasn't found a suitable topical hyaluronic acid so I am keen to give this a go. A month's supply is a good touch.

I'm guessing some will be lacklustre with this one, but that is the thing with H&B; it does both health and beauty.

Ah, today’s is much better- haven’t tried this particular serum but I do use them and I don’t have any in stock at the moment after I finish my Garnier vitamin C one.

Happy with today’s too and also going to take the supplements from yesterday. I’m sort of in the it can’t hurt camp with those.

This is the serum I'm using at the moment and I like it- so pleased with this.
I'm happy to see that, so far, it's like last year and they're giving us a whole system with no similar types of product.

I opened my calendar in one go when I reveived it so hoping not to drop any spoilers! I think days 1 & 2 were products I passed on. Day 3, alas DH hates oud scented things even though the soap was in the downstairs loo, I've had to put it away somewhere (and we started to use it). The trial size deodorant, I am keeping that for a mini break. The trial sized skin food (?) I passed on. I gave the hydraulic acid supplements a go which made my skin blotchy - I disbelived this, stopped taking them and restarted, the same thing happenend. There's been a few hits in the box and look forward to geting to them.

Vitaskin eye cream today- I had one of these in a calendar a few years ago and it was a bit meh and took forever to use up, so I might put it in the beauty bank. Someone else may like it more than I do!

Like this brand, had a VitaSkin cleanser from previous calendar, which I ended up repurchasing, that's how good it was for me. Not one for eye creams though, but will duly give it a go- my peepers surely need help in the month of excess that is December!

I love this night cream and they have given it to us on the full size that they sell it. I actually use quite a few of these products as was introduced to them in earlier years of having the calendar. They haven’t had their products included for a number of years so am very pleased to get this today.

Sea Magik face wash today. It looks all right but I’m a bit wary as one of their shampoos gave me a horribly itchy scalp last year. I will try it cautiously!

I'm just so not a fan of the sea magik branding. The sea is so beautiful but the branding makes me think of north sea gas or something like hydropower 😒

Yeah. I agree. I knew it was pawpaw time when I felt the package!
