Hi friends, welcome to our dedicated Glossybox advent calendar unboxing 2025!!!

Whether you’ve been a subscriber for years or you are brand new to Glossybox join us as we unbox one of the most popular beauty calendars of 2025.

Let’s stick to the usual opening thread ‘rules’ - no reveals until after 7am on the day and plenty of pictures/opinions/first impressions (good and bad!)

I won’t be online until mid morning most days as I have a crazy morning of school runs (and general panic)- so please don’t wait for me - post away & I’ll try to keep up 😂

No pic, sorry - but Rodial Vit C Brightening Mask in drawer 12 today. A solid entry, I’d say!

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 13/12/2025 08:10

Today is a full-size Commodity Milk fragrance. Looking forward to trying this. Have no idea what it will be like.

Giftwithpurchase · 13/12/2025 09:27

Just catching up after a manic Friday - day 12 was a Rodial Vitamin C mask - looking forward to trying this and hoping it'll work wonders on my tired skin!

And today's is very exciting! I have sniffed this earlier in the year and liked it but might venture into town for another go as I want to be extra sure before I open it. Anyone tried it?

I was so excited for this perfume but now I've tried it I'm not sure. I've read that it's a unisex perfume and I keep thinking I smell like a man 😂 I think I will give it to my husband. I shouldn't have opened it and went to the shops to try as that way I could have gifted it. Interested to know other people's thoughts. Maybe it will settle down and grow on me...

Sexentric · 13/12/2025 09:49

Oh no Oz! Try it again in a bit, or let it settle. I absolutely love it and am very pleased. It doesnt smell manly to me. But then most of the fragrance i wear is considered 'unisex' i guess

Sexentric · 13/12/2025 09:49

I LOVE it 😀

Nowmum43 · 13/12/2025 09:55

I love this perfume ❤️

OzMaloney · 13/12/2025 09:56

Definitely going to let it settle. I want to love it like everyone else does 🙏

NeitherStylishnorBeautiful · 13/12/2025 10:26

A big box that didn’t disappoint!
When I scanned the contents before buying, this was definitely one of the clinchers, although I’ve never smelled it. Online suggests very a very vanilla smell, would those who have tried it agree? (also Fragrantica says it’s more feminine than masculine, if that helps @OzMaloney ?)

NeitherStylishnorBeautiful · 13/12/2025 11:35

Update: I tried to resist breaking open the packaging but just couldn’t last any longer.

Happy to say I’m in the ‘love it’ camp too 😁

I recently got a GWP mini of Maison Crivelli Cuir Infrarouge which has become an immediate obsession and I’m trying to justify spending £200 on a big bottle. First sniffs of Milk are not dissimilar, maybe this will help curb my spending a bit longer!

SmashingGemini · 13/12/2025 13:49

I really like the perfume too.

NeitherStylishnorBeautiful · 14/12/2025 09:28

Morning all. Hiding my pic in case folk are having a slow easy start to their Sunday (as I am).
Not a brand I’m familiar with, and I should use this particular kind of product waaaaay more than I do. Not sure why but I am always drawn to anything that claims ‘radiance’.
I’ve just looked this up and apparently RRP for the 30ml version is £89?!?!?? Amazon selling the size we have for £12 so who knows.
Anyway - all that adds up to: this is something I’ll probably give a go.

Never heard of this brand either - wow £89! I'm terrible at using eye cream but found I do use it more of it if I keep it with my makeup so will definitely try and use this up once I'm done with my current one (from the Inky list and seems to do a big fat nothing to improve my eye wrinkles!)

Probiotics Radiance Eye Serum. Always use an eye serum so happy with this.

I feel a little bit scared by today’s 🤣 has anyone used it before?

ninja · 15/12/2025 07:56

Haven’t opened mine yet (me and DD do it together). But if it’s what I think it is I’ve been really looking forward to trying it - I use different brands of the same thing and have done so for 5 years - never looked back. It can take a week or so for your body to get used to it. My sister only uses it in the winter - also an option but I use it all year round. This brand gets great reviews but has always seemed too expensive to me

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 15/12/2025 13:17

The Deodorant Balm from AKT today. I probably won’t use this one as I only use aerosol deodorant. I can’t stand the stickiness of a roll-on or liquid.

Looking forward to trying the deodorant though lots of the more eco brands give me itchy pits … interesting that on the instructions for use it suggests you may apply to your forehead 😂

NeitherStylishnorBeautiful · 15/12/2025 19:07

Yep, I am really not sure about a £20 deodorant.

Tempted to try on the basis of ‘when will my armpits ever have such a luxury experience again?’, and I do like a violet scent….
But similar to you, @buzzing, I can have quite sensitive reactions there so trying to weigh up the pros and cons.

On the site for the brand, they market a separate ‘squeezer’ device - even more
expense but probably quite a good idea, I can see me squishing out the entire tube on the first go!

Sexentric · 15/12/2025 19:14

Im actually really excited about this one. Its something I've been wanting to try for a while. I've just cheated and looked ahead at tomorrow though (naugty) and that's a DOD for me. So if anyone wants to swap (after they've opened tomorrow obviously) im your gal

Giftwithpurchase · 15/12/2025 21:42

Yey excited for this. I switched to natural deo about two years ago (Wild) and love it - it does take a while to adjust and I do reapply on long work days 😂

I’m happy with today, although I am always very dubious of the pricing of these items and wonder if anyone actually buys them! I only ever see the brand in beauty boxes!

NeitherStylishnorBeautiful · 16/12/2025 08:25

Yes I’m happy too. It’s a controversial brand because of the pricing and I’d probably never buy it at RRP but I will certainly use this product.
