M&S beauty advent calendar opening thread

Back to M&S after a couple of years off for me this year, I don’t think that we have a thread already?

Usual rules apply, no spoilers before 7am, looking forward to tomorrow! 🎄

I’m pleased with it too but don’t like the way that you have to go rummaging through the calendar to find the right number. Or am I missing something? Like another way of opening it up.. I’m sure usually you can see all the numbers?

Oh a lovely start! I have some of this already, but not this one.

Box looks like it’s going to be a bit of a pain to keep tidy with the layers not in number order (although it must be really tricky to make everything fit in the first place!)

I love today’s, I had a different one from the same brand in the M&S icon box and that was nice too. A good start. Agree the boxes are a pain though!

Full confession - I actually did this box during November but will enjoy reliving it with you guys- and I promise not to spoil anything :)
I love the look of this brand but the fragrances just don't seem to sit right on me...I'll still use it up though. Good start.

Great start though I’ve perfume in both my boxes, was a right pain to have to dig through and find today’s box though.

Hello, first time Advent calendar opener here! Mine was a gift, which was very appreciated. I never usually have one.

Today's item isn't something I ever wear, and I'm not sure about the scent, to be honest.

But it was lovely opening the box! My daughter loved rummaging to find #1 haha

I sound ungrateful/unsure - but that's not the case. Knowing myself, I'll grow to love it as it always takes me a minute to get used to something new!

Pleased with today’s. I like Floral Street brand and the minis are great for holidays. Good start.

First timer here. Love the first item! i put the empty box back in to maintain the placement 😂

Yes I’m going to try to replace the boxes too or it’ll be a right mess!

Happy with today's! I was wondering if I was supposed to set the boxes up somehow, but it seems like it is just a case of dig through until you find the right one. I'll try to put the empties back so it doesn't become a sad box to open as the days go by.

Strong start from M&S - beats my Look Fantastic day 1 hands down. Agree on the double layer faff although it does take up a fraction of the space of the LF advent.

I'm glad to read this thread and realise I'm not the only one who was digging for number one. I was given this as a lovely gift. I like the product.

Hello - joining too as have my first ever beauty calendar - total surprise from DH. I was lucky to find 1 directly under the first box I lifted but will also be putting back empties to keep it tidy! Love this first thing - reminds me strongly of a fragrance I used to have in the 90s but can’t put my finger on it - anyone know what I mean?

@monjmaintainer it reminds me of Body Shop Dewberry a little now it’s settled.

Not so keen on the scent. Too sweet and cloying on me, but will see how it settles.

I thought I'd missed some clever way of opening the box when I realised day 1 wasn't visible but then I realised I had to dig around.

Not great for me today I really don't like the scent. But equally I don't expect to love everything.

Are we going to agree a time after which we can discuss the item eg 7am?

I like this range - but have offered it to DD who is going away over Christmas, as it's such a perfect size for travelling with. The hunting around for Box 1 was a bit irritating, but I've got over myself! 😥

@sparkletastic Is there a Look Fantastic opening thread? I got it for DD, and would love to follow what she's getting each day! Hope it improves for you.

I’m so glad to see it wasn’t just me who couldn’t find no.1! I got so fed up I tipped the whole box out and now can’t quite get them all back in 🤣
But I’m very happy with the fragrance!

I've had the perfume on for about an hour now, I can still smell it, really like it!

I had the Arizona Bloom one before so pleased to try this one. (And someone else who put no 1 box back in too!)
