M&S beauty advent calendar opening thread

Back to M&S after a couple of years off for me this year, I don’t think that we have a thread already?

Usual rules apply, no spoilers before 7am, looking forward to tomorrow! 🎄

Overall I've been pleased with it and there's value saved in the things I'll use. The Benefit and Nuxe are wins for me plus most of the skin care.

This was my first time getting a beauty calendar. If anyone can recommend any others for next year I'll be interested in getting something similar again. Ideally similar price and without hair care but perhaps that doesn't exist

Again a bit meh today. Will try it in the morning as am looking haggard and worn this week.

Did we get any full size stuff this year? I’ve had this calendar in previous years and I remember some nice full size stuff.

The sleep cream maybe? But yes pretty much has all been minis. I might go back to Holland and Barrett next year.

I have just checked and I did pay £60.
Did it go down to £45 online, or just in stores?

I think I did get a sparks offer, but only after I’d bought it at full price.

@bigTillyMint yes it went down to £45 online. At first it was only for people with the sparks offer but then went on general sale at that price, which is when I bought it.

I got it for £45 when it went on offer in store. I love Stila and Prai so it’s been worth it for those. Not keen on some of the items but it’s a great deal. I’m opening 2 others alongside so I have a lovely morning routine and a big build up of new products now but it’s a lovely way to end the year. Merry Christmas 🎄!

I’m very pleased with the face mask and will def use it. Ideally I’d have liked this earlier in the box so I’d have time to use it and look fresh for tomorrow

So I’ve realised today that the skin food isn’t really for your face! Put it on this morning and felt like I had something like goose fat on my face! Have relented and removed it and all make up after 4 hours as it still wasn’t ’soaking in’ - it will be good for other dry bits!

The face mask made me laugh this morning since I knew it would be a late one tonight smuggling the presents in! Im sat here at half past midnight with a glass of fizz and it slapped on! Here's hoping it has an impact!

Really pleased with day 25 - I’ve never owned anything from Clinique - I’m much more of a Rimmel mascara gal usually, and brown-black is my usual choice.

this has been my first ever beauty advent calendar and I was initially a bit aghast at DH spending so much on something like this for me (presume it was £60 as he mentioned it was advertised to him when buying another family member’s gift but haven’t asked) however - much as I am not one to to splash out of beauty - surely this is amazing value for the volume of branded stuff? So many of you seem disappointed. I feel it’s been great as I now have more idea which items are worth actually buying full size or not.

A nice one to end on. Will use this as have done so before. A great mascot or holiday as it doesn’t budge. Thanks for sharing the experience all and have a lovely Christmas.

I’m pleased with today’s gift, as it’s something I’ll definitely use, which is outside my usual price range.

I use Clinique mascara although a different one, but that is a good last gift for me! Until next year M&S…
