What perfumes would you wish they’d make?

I love the Molton Brown Rose & Rhubarb range, but wish the perfume would smell the same as the body lotion. I’ve tried the perfume but it’s nothing like the shower gel or body lotion.

The same with L’Occtaine Almond range, love the gels and lotions but there’s no proper perfume that smells the same and th lotions just don’t last smell wise/

I love the Victoria Secrets Coconut Passion body mist but it just doesn’t last.

Creosote. I’m serious.

Agreed. Also leaded petrol please.

And Bvlgari need to reissue Black, because I’m halfway through my last hoarded bottle.

A perfume that smells like hyacinth. In the same way that yoi get single note Rose perfumes.

Agree. A million years ago Chantecaille did a perfume called Wisteria which smelled (unexpectedly) exactly like hyacinth. I miss it.

I went to a Christmas market last weekend (yes I know it’s only November), and they had a perfume stall. I got really excited when I sat a pistachio scent, it was nice initially but a bit ‘chemically’ after a while. So disappointed

An affordable but equally long lasting version of Halfeti.
Body shop perfume oils, especially Mostly Musk and strawberry but the 1980s version that was soft, not too fruity.
Lee Stafford shampoo, the original scent, not the generic new one, in perfume form. I know they do a hair mist but I want a perfume. It reminds me of something, I can never figure out what though. Sort of love child of Mugler Angel and Play Doh.

The essence vault do the halfeti dupe. Very affordable and long lasting

I wish they’d properly relaunch Champagne by YSL also called Yvresse

I've got a bottle of the original still. I love it but I get a rash and it makes me wheeze.

SwedishEdith · 14/11/2025 22:31

I'd like one that smells of coriander and also one that smells like pastis.

worcesterpear · 14/11/2025 23:05

Yes please can Body Shop (and others) bring back perfume oils that you got in droppers but rolls on would also be acceptable. They didn't come in a huge range of options, but smelt preferable to the generic scents you get from spray perfumes nowadays, unless you are very rich or knowledgeable.

potplantsinparadise · 14/11/2025 23:06

For creosote, try 'Mississipi Medicine' by DS & Durga - very strong birch tar element in it.

OP M&S do an own brand perfume with pistachio in the name of it, I've not tried it though!

A million years ago, Chantecaille did one called Frangipani. It was divine. I used to buy it from Space nk in the Trafford Centre when it very first opened.

Perfume Parlour do roll on oils.

I had one that smelt of old books in a library. Favourite ever smell. I kept the empty bottle for years to keep smelling it. Scent faded eventually and the label rubbed off, so I've no idea what it was!

The smell of the original Ambre Solaire suntan lotion.

Sugarnspicenallthingsnaice · 15/11/2025 01:03

Lots of temptation in this thread!

For me it's fresh apple, like green apple shampoo.

I have a DKNY apple perfume and it's nice enough but not exactly right.

Ruthietuthie · 15/11/2025 01:31

I would like a perfume that smelt exactly like eating a juicy peach on a warm day. And another that smelt exactly like lemon meringue pie.

I remember too! I bought mine from Space NK in Covent Garden, the old location.

Body Shop had Fuzzy Peach in the good old days. I've seen dupes online but no idea if they're any good.
