I love a safari suit - but I was heavily influenced in the 1980s by the “Out of Africa” and Ralph Lauren Safari perfume aesthetic. I still love this look on Diana…

That's lovely. In a hot humid climate natural fabrics and skirts that float around your nether regions prevent those embarrassing damp patches paps. Love to capture.

Oh dear. The then Wales... I just don't think it's a good look even on Diana. Plus, the matching? Nope.

I think the best route for a woman is a cool cotton dress, such as we've seen Sophie wearing this week. It's possible to be cool and comfortable without wearing a safari suit, imo.

Yes, I often think that - she was only 36 when she died, she always looked quite mature.

Oh, I completely agree that no-one needs to be wearing this! But my teenage brain was influenced to want to look like this, and it’s deeply embedded 🤣

Very chic - no safari suits 😊

Leti has gone for one of her favourites, Carolina Herrera, a very simple silhouette and I like the contrast at the top. First Lady Peng looks very elegant.
Sadly no tiaras - Leti has a couple of gorgeous ones 😍

This is nothing groundbreaking but I think CPV has nailed the on-trend monochromatic day wear look. Plus the colour is great and very in this winter.

I agree, that's a great outfit, good colour and fit and I like the addition of the belt.

Maxima in a fairly ordinary Natan trouser suit, but what about the brooches?! Hyper bling.

I also think CPV is on point here - fit, length and colour spot on and I love the belt. My only slight complaint would be that the shoes are a tad vertiginous but they are still gorgeous, dahling 😆

I’d love to see CPV with a softer hairstyle.

She does look nice with her hair down but perhaps that's her off-duty look so that she isn"t as easily recognisable.

Leti’s black and white dress is stunning

Sophie’s packed a lot of patterned dresses for her trip. Looks like she may have ruined those platform espadrilles though - I like the Lexy dress she wore with them. She also seems to be using a lot of Sophie Habsburg bags - not a brand I am familiar with at all.

The espadrilles with an ankle strap are Penelope Chilvers. I recall a photo a few months ago where she was visiting the showroom and was photographed on a bench with someone from the brand. Someone said they liked some nude shoes she wore upthread with the dark patterned dress. They are Jimmy Choos.
