Oh dear that headdress is a right old mess, isn’t it? I do find thick black tights rather frumpy too.

You look like they are being interviewed by a headmaster when they are sitting opposite the Pope at his enormous desk.

I'm not keen on the head dress, although I don't hate it. I think a traditional mantilla or at least something in lace would have looked nicer. Love the brooch; I don't know if Cams has worn it before.

That link says the Sistine Chapel service focused on protecting nature - perhaps that was the reason for the leafy headpiece.

If we get President Catherine we will have to stage a style intervention. My hair would look like hers if I didn't spend hours and a fortune pretend I have chic brunette locks.

It’s a Phillip Treacy headpiece apparently. Maybe subconsciously/consciously influenced by Celtic ideas, Samhain, that sort of thing. It made the news bulletins this morning here in Ireland which made me chuckle

Meanwhile, Guillaume and Stephanie are paying courtesy visits to their neighbours in the Benelux countries. They're currently visiting Belgium.

I don't think that Stephanie's outfit is very flattering, although I quite like the hat. Mathilde looks quite chic in her burgundy/deep red suit, which I like.

Mathilde does indeed look chic and that's a great shade of red. I rest my case about Stephanie not really caring about clothes/fashion!

I agree. I’m still getting QE the Queen Mother vibes from Stephanie’s outfit, especially as it is a similar colour to the dress she wore for the Accession. She’s got the length wrong in the same way that Sophie Edinburgh often does. Mathilde’s outfit on the other hand is a perfect length and nice and simple
