Morning!
A new thread. Autumn beckons, lets hope we get some interesting looks to discuss!

Camilla has found a style that suits her and always looks put-together - my mum used to dress like her, always smart and never any 'slacks'!

Looking good, nice blouse. The crown brooch is interesting.

Yes I have to say I’m not sure about the brooch. It manages to somehow be a literal symbol of who she is and underwhelming at the same time 🤔. I love the rest of her look though

KiIIingMeDeftly · 12/10/2025 10:15

There's a lot going on in Camilla's ensemble but she looks comfortable and happy. The brown shoes look a bit out of place!

Maireas · 12/10/2025 10:18

Isn't it time for her favourite boots?.

The leopard print blouse looked much better when she wore it 18 months ago with a black overdress. And with boots. Bonus glimpse of the Duchess of Gloucester looking elegant on the stairs.

This time round there are too many colours and tones and the shoes and jacket break up the look.

Is that crown brooch missing the gold bead at the top of the far right stem?

(It also looks like Camilla has a touch of dandruff on the green dress. But only on one side)

MrsLeonFarrell · 12/10/2025 10:45

I love the fact that Camilla has chosen her style and is sticking to it. I wonder if she learnt that from the late Queen. It's also good that her style is totally different from Elizabeth II.

Maireas · 12/10/2025 10:49

Yes, I think she's found what works and is work appropriate.

I thought Camilla sounded quite frail yesterday

Not surprised she worked through the Trump visit when she should have been in bed. She's lost a dear friend, worried about her husband. Time for a retreat to the Indian spa.

Spending so much time in Scotland isn't ideal with her chest.

I’ve just been watching a nice little film, Ballywalter (¼ hour to go, so it may change). The lead actress, Seana Kerslake (who can act) was born to play Princess Alexia of the Netherlands:

I’ve just googled Alexia and she’s doing a degree in civil engineering at UCL.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 13/10/2025 07:27

It seems a more practical degree than what princesses usually go for!

Yes, I thought the same - a degree for a proper career!

Quite so - Willem Alexander was a pilot - per Wikipedia:

Willem-Alexander revealed in May 2017 that he had quietly been working as a first officer with KLM since the 1990s, flying Fokker 70s for KLM Cityhoppertwice a month, even after becoming king. He said he is rarely recognized while in uniform, although some passengers recognized his voice when he made announcements, despite never introducing himself by name.[21][23]Following the retirement of the Fokker 70, he transitioned to the Boeing 737, and in 2025 transitioned to the Airbus A321neo.[21][24]

Maireas · 13/10/2025 10:56

I think Wax still does some professional pilot work. I'd love it if he was in the cockpit of a flight of mine.

Oh yes, and Maxima in charge of the drinks trolley. I bet she'd be a hoot!

Seana Kerslake / Princess Alexia was in the tv series Smother @PoppySeedBagelRedux - have you watched it ?
I think there are 3 seasons of it.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 13/10/2025 15:00

She was in a decent comedy series some years ago called (I think) Can't Wait, Won't Wait.

Have we seen this? I like it. Leti in a white Mango suit. Carolina Herrera bag, stylish Sezane low heeled shoes.
We're seeing a lot of trouser suits, the tricky part is the proportion, I think that's why I like this one. Neat jacket, loose fit trousers, but not very wide. Nice.

I really like that dress, it's a lovely clear green and I like the boucle texture and fit. She's wearing her kitten heeled slingbacks and the favourite Carolina Herrera bag. Leonor looks very smart in the uniform, she carries it well. I'm less keen on Sofia's outfit, and I think it's the proportions, because I generally like a polka dot!

chesterelly1 · 13/10/2025 21:01

I feel like Leti has accepted she’s not going back to skyscraper heels and her clothes have caught up in terms of proportion. There was a spell where things looked a little long because they’d originally been intended to be worn with high heels but she’s nailing it at the moment. Love the white suite and green dress.

Maireas · 13/10/2025 21:03

Yes, and she's got some very stylish low heeled shoes. I think she's definitely got the proprtions right. I like the fact that she tries different styles though, usually with more hits than misses.
