Are these dresses ok for autumn weddings?!

Losing my mind, must be the 20th pair of dresses I’ve tried on. I have a wedding first weekend in October, and first weekend in November - same guests so can’t really wear the same dress. Anyway.. going to wear both with a sparkly pair of strappy heels and a black cardi/cover up for shoulders. Yes or no?

First time I’ve worn anything remotely ‘nice’ since having DD a couple of years ago so feeling out of my depth.

Not in black - look for lovely autumn colours like chocolate brown or burgundy...with gold accessories..

That's lovely, I've had loads of Jolle Moi dresses for weddings. I always find them comfortable, good quality and really flattering.

I've bought directly from their own website before, and from John Lewis - both on sale — so def worth a hunt as they often do the same dresses in muliple different colours. I have a feeling I even signed up to a mailing list on the Jolie Moi website and got another 10% off.

FWIW I don't think some of the other posters are clicking your links before giving your original dresses a no. When I first saw the photos, I was an instant no due to the colour. Yet when I clicked the links you shared, I was more convinced that they could work for a wedding.

Both look lovely on you, but seeing as it's your in-laws weddings, I could see why you'd want to make sure you have something that feels 100% right as you might be photos etc.

The attached are Jolie Moi too, I'll throw them into the ring!

In my opinion that dress is in a complete different level that the others. I will go for it. 10/10 for a autumnal wedding.

Another one here saying Jolie Moi dresses are fab quality for the money.

I'm not keen on either of the dresses you posted. The first isn't flattering on your (very nice) figure and the second looks too casual.

I'd splash out and buy one very nice dress and wear to both weddings. A better quality dress will hang better and you will have the dress for future events?

RuthW · 14/09/2025 18:03

First one is not suitable for an all day wedding. The second one is ok as long as you wear a bright jacket etc. You could find better.

WFHforevermore · 14/09/2025 18:41

Well i think you look amazing in the first dress!!

Gwenhwyfar · 14/09/2025 19:33

Both look too cold for autumn for me.

MyElatedUmberFinch · 14/09/2025 22:43
