I agree with the poster who suggested wearing it with a fake fur gilet. That would look amazing.

I think tan leather boots with a definite slouch/wrinkle as long as the tops of the boots are higher than the hem of the dress (when standing). You could also wear a chunky knit sleeveless waistcoat (arran? ?embroidered) over it in the depths of winter. Also, what about a long necklace or pendant?

Mine just arrived and it's far too small across the bust! Gutted! I'm a reliable size 14 and a 36E and it just gapes on me. Worth noting for anyone thinking of ordering with a larger chest. Not even sure the 16 would fit, and any larger would mean the waist hanging weirdly

I’m 5’ 3” but also ordered a Tall hoping it will be a bit longer. It won’t matter to me if the waist is a bit lower.

I love that dress! I've been sitting on a £30 M&S voucher since my birthday in May as they had that cyber thing and I haven't been able to spend, but have just ordered. I shall wear it with my brown boots all winter. Love it.

I ordered it in 12 long due to this thread. It arrived today and I love it!!! I will wear with trainers or tights and biker boots/lace up boots/chunky Chelsea boots or cowboy boots. Tempted by the short black one now too!

I’ve got a really similar one from last autumn.
i wear it with brown Chelsea boots and chunky socks.
ive also worn a long sleeve stripy thermal top under it and I think it looked rather good.

I agree a cardigan would not be suitable because of the sleeves. When it is very cold I wear a thin thermal layer underneath virtually everything which does not bulk out an outfit but keeps me warm. I cannot tolerate being cold nowadays. I like the dress too, in my opinion there are so many dresses which are unflattering at the moment, I hate tiers, off the shoulder and anything that is not cotton!

I think the sleeves were the problem , big and a bit puffy and just didn’t suit me

I had one from Oliver Bonas a few years ago but more fitted on the middle. It's a lovely dress on but the puff sleeves are so annoying when you want to wear a coat.

Just picked mine up and it fits well. I am long in the body and short in the waist, the waist is about a centimetre too high but it's not so high it looks weird. The skirt falls just above the ankle so perfect with boots in winter. I really like the wee pearly buttons which remind me of a denim shirt I had when I was a student in about 1994 and wore until it fell to bits. Overall, pleased with it.

On the sleeves - yes quite puffy and you couldn't wear a cardi with sleeves with it, although a dark grey / navy / black tank top thing would work. I like that 3/4 length sleeve anyway.

Collected mine earlier - size 12 regular (I’m typically a 12/14) and I love it! No idea what I’ll wear with it but def feels very adaptable and dress up/ down.
